It was nice. They liked Lancaster, Pennsylvania so much that they started recording there for a few years. A bunch of well known famous acts started using a local two brothers recording studios in the 70's and 80's, so people like Peter Frampton were occasionally spotted on the streets. Sometime in the 90s, I think ,the brothers moved to a larger city. I remember in the 60s / 70's a white Caddilac with Champ tags around town on occasion. Muhammad Ali used to train up in Reading, just North of Lancaster. I never actually saw Ali, just one of his cars.

In the same vain, Lee knew after Gettysburg there was no longer a way to end the war with a resolve that would even marginally be better for the South and still continued to fight dooming thousands. As a kid, I bought into the Lee BS; my great grandfather was a lieutenant in his Army of Northern Virginia. My Mom hated wars, so, at least didn't come from her; and my Dad was a staunch all races were equal (watched him in 1966 tear into some old racist). But, I had cousins galore. Not long after I gave up on religion, about age 12, I saw through the Southern myth as well.

I went straight to the college Presdent's office. The President's assistant, essentially the 2nd in command listened and investigated, speaking privately to everyone, who in private backed up what I had seen and logged. The woman wasn't technically fired, the school changed her position from a PHD to Masters level and she left. She hated me; once, I had an appointment and after a 20 minute wait just walked into her office and found her reading a magazine. And she knew I was there waiting. I had to walk past her secretary.

Back in the 80's or 90s, a guy in Louisiana shot and killed his kid's abuser/kidnapper on the news at an airport. I have always believed that the DA knew what he was doing, or an idiot. The DA insisted on first degree murder and nothing else. Since judges, not juries in that state, the jury found him innocent as they were afraid the guy might get the death penalty. They all said they would have given him 10 years.
