To me, I see the disturbing side of the story. Where was the school in this? The other parents? I applaud the man, he did a super thing. What does it say about society, especially now. When my kids were little, for a while, they rode a bus to school - the one mixed with private schools. I discovered one kid was picking on my youngest son. I got nowhere with the bus driver, who literally closed her bus door on me. I got the Christian school principal, who was "very concerned" to have the parents call me. The father called - long story, no sensible solution as all he would say was "my son went through it, kids will be kids. Very frustrating to try and talk sensibly. So, I went his way. I said, okay we will do it your way. The man sounded confidently relieved and smug, until - I added - just don't call me when my older son interveins and takes action, as only I have been restraining him. After all kids will be kids. The guy stuttered into action. Sad to need to resort to threats.
