BestWithoutGods replies on Jun 28, 2019:
@evidentialist I have accumulated evidence that the major "prophets" of the Bible predicted things that failed to come true, making them false prophets; that there are many contradictions in the Bible; that science disproves some bible stories, such as a 6-day creation 6,000 years ago, and Noah's Ark; that virgin births, resurrections and other "miracles" are common in non-biblical mythology; etc. From such evidence, I conclude that the Bible is not a book about reality, but about mythology. Given the evidence I have accumulated, and the inability of believers to disprove it, I believe I have sufficient evidence to make my case and "support the claim."

BestWithoutGods replies on Jun 28, 2019:
@evidentialist Hmmm.... It seems to me that the burden of proof is on those who make claims that their mythology is reality. Their inability to provide valid evidence indicates that they are accepting the stories only on blind faith. It would be unreasonable for anyone to take their stories as reality, when all indications point toward mythology. This is especially so when other Bible stories have been proved false by science. I acknowledge a possibility that I may not have seen all the evidence yet. If anyone can show me evidence I have not yet seen, and it is convincing, I will change my opinion. But I have given believers years to convince me that their story is real, and they have been unable to find any evidence to demonstrate that it is. Until such evidence is forthcoming, I am convince that it is mythological.

BestWithoutGods replies on Jun 28, 2019:
There is absolutely NO evidence that the virgin birth and the resurrection happened in reality. Also, these two events are not unique to Jesus. They occured over and over again in prior myths.

@Mb_Man Here, for example, is a comment I made yesterday. I have not received a response: My way out of religion was intellectual. Matthew 7:15-20 warns us against false prophets and tells us that by their fruits you will know them. Similarly, Deuteronomy 18:20-22 tells us that if a prophet makes a prediction in the name of the Lord, and the prediction proves to be false, he is a false prophet, and should be ignored. I studied the prophets, and especially the main ones: Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel & Daniel. In each of them, I found predictions made in the name of of the Lord that never came true, and the time for fulfillment is past. My conclusion is that the biblical prophets had no divine gift for predicting the future. If you would like further detail, I would be happy to send you my reports. Just ask for them and tell me where to email them. Here are the titles some of my reports: Fearless Bible Study Judging the Prophets Isaiah Was a False Prophet Jeremiah Was a False Prophet Ezekiel Was a False Prophet Daniel Is False Prophecy Jesus Falls with the Prophets Phony Fulfillments Contradictions in the Bible The Satire According to Matthew Christianity Debunked Morality Why I Cannot Be Christian

What is the answer for your happiness?
BestWithoutGods comments on May 31, 2019:
It seems to me that happiness is a decision. I decide to be happy, no matter what happens. One thing that makes me happy is to make others happy. Helping others, or just doing common courtesies for others makes me very happy. I "always look on the bright side of life." There is always something to ...

@Castlepaloma I've seen that. And though it is meant to be comical, they make a good point. What we choose to see -- the bright side or the dark side -- is how we end up feeling inside.

I assume you mean the first photo. That is Villa Pace, which is directly behind my condo. It has been abandoned for years, and is falling apart. SUBJECT... I WANT TO GET RICH, SHOULD I OPEN A CHURCH? Go to "Alan McPherson " Facebook.
BestWithoutGods comments on May 27, 2019:
That's one way to get rich, but at what cost? I don't think my conscience could stand taking advantage of so many gullible people.
BestWithoutGods replies on May 27, 2019:
@Antidronefreeman I disagree. One can get people to "agree" by using deception. That is not an honest business. Agreement implies understanding. If people understand that I'm deceiving them, and they want it anyway, fine. But it is dishonest to teach what I know to be mythology as if it were reality.

@Antidronefreeman Well, yes, developing greater math and technology skills than others, it is only right that you use your knowledge and skill to do work for them that they can't do for themselves. It's a different matter entirely to intentionally deceive people into believing a bunch of nonsense. I could not be so deceptive and live happily.
