I have to wonder about this idea.
Budgie comments on Jun 21, 2022:
Seems like a great idea when you think about how smaller communities increase then decrease. People's needs change ie getting older, disability, children no children being able to easily reconfigure the inside gets rid of empty rooms and increases the useable space.
And people with a uterus are the majority!

I am sort of conflicted over this. I knew the man many years ago as I worked with his wife. He seemed like a fairly decent bloke with standards, she definitely had standards. I accept that people change over years (and it was years ago that I knew them) and that his work self could be a very different person to the social one I met. If he has hidden the knowledge that defense workers were acting illegally then he should have to answer to that. I always felt it was wrong (but completely in line with the lieberal party) to put a military person in the role of GG.

Budgie comments on Oct 19, 2020:
There was a joke that there was a new pensioner retirement plan it consisted of a gun and two bullets. They take the gun and shot a politician (the two bullets are in case the first missed). Then they would be arrested and sent to jail where they would get three meals a day, all of their laundry done for them, 24/7 monitoring and bed checks, free dental and healthcare. Better than a retirement home and they get rid of a politician so wins all round.

As a teacher these ones really annoy me. Either it is making teachers look stupid or there really is an early childhood teacher who was too stupid to ask the child what the drawing was about which is essentially young child drawing 101 always freaking ask the kid what they have drawn in which case they need to stop teaching now and go do a job that does not require thinking overly much.

Never got into these guys 8. I loved Chicago, this is a soppy love song so the tweeny in me probably got sucked into the angst and emotion. 7. I found Dr Hook creepy, I could not listen to them at all. OMG that song solidified my creeped out of them. 6. very repetitive so yeah it is bad. 5. My baby brother loved Disco Duck but he was about 4/5 and liked the Chipmunks as well. 4. OMG I have never heard this It truly sucks. 3. Never got into Manilow. 2. Yeah not a song I ever listened to. 1. OMG this song is so cringeworthy.

Budgie comments on Jul 14, 2020:
I hate buying shoes (I hate wearing them) but a friend took me shoe shopping and I bought a really comfortable pair of croc thongs that I wore to death, some sketcher shoes that do not give me blisters. But my all time fav was when living on an island off the coast of Australia. Target would send over catalogues and we could order from them. They had some boots but I did not know what size to get so we traced around my feet and sent that to the shop with the order. The boots fitted and were comfortable. Great buy.

Fact check: Workers fired over vaccination can be denied unemployment
Budgie comments on Aug 12, 2021:
My thoughts on this one are pretty simple. Rewards the ones that do. ie if you are fully vaccinated and have to spend time in quarantine while waiting for a negative test we will cover the few days it takes no loss of personal leave. If you are fully vaccinated and actually do test positive (a small chance) then you do not have to lose your sick leave while clearing it out of your system. If you are not vaccinated then you have to use your sick leave or leave without pay, etc we will not cover you for any covid related leave at all. In America where companies offer health benefits (I can not even begin to wrap my head around that one) then they need to get it changed so that if unvaccinated they will not cover any medical expenses that arise in the short or long term from a Covid 19 exposure or infection. This means when the person who chose to not get vaccinated takes 3 months to get back to health and then develops a serious lung function problem none of that would be covered by their health cover. Reward the behaviour you want to see.
