If someone there tested positive they need to close the store for a couple of weeks. Have they said what they’re doing? I don’t know that it’s “being a better person” to take care of yourself.

That pesky work ethic thing. They aren't always closing places down around here. I did already tell them I had been offered the job back and the manager said, "So is this your last day?"

@FrayedBear I also would not add the Euro/German saltiness tang of Worcestershire to Jamaican Jerk. But that's just me. Marinade the meat in a fruit juice blend of some sort overnight to make it tender I like pineapple, grapefruit and orange but it can be just about anything so long as there is some citrus and sweetness. You save that sauce in the fridge while the meat is in the spice mix a few hours and put the meat back in the sauce to slow cook. If you can find banana leaves to line the casserole that would be a bonus

I love the Jerk Spice and make my own. It is right when you can't smell it without sneezing. To me it is a perfect sweet spicy, but a favored companion could barely tolerate even what I thought was a very lightly spiced chicken. I taught him to take a bite with a mouthful of the sweet potatoes I had mixed with yogurt and cinnamon and grilled pineapple and he was fine.

@Mcflewster The settlers from the "Old World" thought the "New World" had been created especially for them as a gift from g_d. So the people already living there weren't really people at all. The settlers looked upon the people, living on the land they would call America, as little more than rats that needed to be exterminated. And of course that entire slavery thing.
Lol... We shouldn't have to explain these things!

Tasmania is one of the places inexplicably on Manic Moron's new proposed travel bans. But as to seafood, I'm not sure I'd want something from that far away. On Edit - Bu then I am lucky enough to live in a place where the oysters and shrimp come "from" the water and not "over" the water.

@AncientNight Dean Martin is perhaps the most famous person from Steubenville. He grew up in the same neighborhood as my mother but was a few years older. She said he was a terrible bully. I think he carried that trait through life if you see the way he interacted with people. He also never came back to his hometown. Even when hey named a street for him.

Bitter orange marmalade might not be easily available in the states. Even regular orange marmalade is generally one slot in the jam and jelly section. But I would try that. Combining orange and chocolate is popular here.

I can confirm that dark chocolate with still warm bacon is astoundingly good. The salty and the sweet and bitter softly melded to the taste buds by the fat. Not sure if the same effect could be achieved though a cookie, unless it were also eaten warm.

@TheGreatShadow It took me he longest time to be able to tolerate mayo in or on anything. I have no idea why. I know it is just eggs and oil. I could, and can detect it when people use mayo instead of eggs and oil in a cake. My go to for peanut butter toast would be sliced bananas and local honey.
