There is a reason moving is expensive. Unless your furniture is expensive it is better you just sell it and replace when you get there. Keep the important papers and the sentimental stuff you love. Ditch the detritus.

@sassygirl3869 Not saying you would take advantage and sit on your hands when gas fill-up time came. Just keep a ledger and let us know when that hits $2000 somewhere around Houston. And then you still have to fly your friend back to wherever. Another $500 KaChing.

@sassygirl3869 $2000 is cheap for a cross country move trip. One way U-haul will probably be at least $500 Gas on across country trip for that U-haul at least $500 for that truck plus hotel and food. For 4 days of what I would consider the least time that is humanly tolerable of NY to AZ how much do you think hotel and food will be? $2000 is cheap. That would have been my low-bid. And that is not touching a bit of moving stuff, because I don't do that. And I'm also not insured like a moving company would be.

What reason would I have to be angry with your imaginary friend?
BufftonBeotch replies on Jul 26, 2019:
@lerlo Not past the time I would have believed in other nonsense like Fat Men in Flying Sleighs. I never really believe in any of it as much as my peers did. But playing along seemed to make people happy. You should find another place to try to convert/brainwash people. We're pretty damn inoculated against your silly virus here.

@Robecology You think a complete stranger has the tight to command me to smile because it gives him pleasure? Do you also think women should not express their opinions about important things?

I'd watch Hugh Jackman sing the alphabet. Russell Crowe is a bit torturous to watch but so is his character.. It rather fits that he seems completely out of place the entire film. And yeah. The young leads completely blew it.

I have been the official "critter catcher" in every household since I was a kid. This included two occasions when bats got into the house. My parents hid under the kitchen table both times. Another was when a squirrel was knocked simple, and was trying to assist. Well, the thing came spectacularly conscious in the car. Have you seen that Ray Steven's squirrel song? That song is accurate.

BufftonBeotch replies on Jul 22, 2019:
@altschmerz The Karma Sutra? The UU's also have a program called O.W.L. for Our Whole Lives which is a very not shame based sexual education. There is probably a great amount of information about it online. Another thing about the Savannah church is that it is a historic church. The building predates the Civil war even the the UU's were not in it that entire time. Being Abolitionist they were not the most welcome folk in town. They bought the building back in the early 1990's I think.

BufftonBeotch replies on Jul 22, 2019:
I stated before that even that got to be too much church for me, but I might attend the one in Savannah every so often if it were closer. It's not all that far, about half an hour but by the time you figure in that, both ways, a social time, discussion and then people often get together for lunch? You're talking about getting home mid-to late afternoon. There are just many other preferred activities. I would highly recommend UU to someone with children, though. They prefer a great religious education that is informed and is a good inoculation to indoctrination. You really don't want a 12 year old's first exposure to religion being getting dragged to a Pentecostal church after spending the night at her friend Loretta Jo's house. She'll come home with weird eyes and talking funny.
