Your cheating heart has most of the stuff I hate in C&W. It's got the nasal twang, the half flat music they refuse to teach in music theory class, the you/me did something wrong song of the century. All it needs for my complete disgust is a syrupy Hawaiian guitar.
BufftonBeotch replies on Jun 18, 2019:
lol. It's Honky Tonk, dab gummit. I don't mind this old stuff also Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline and of course Dolly Parton. What I cannot abide is the modern fake twang singing like Alan Jackson and all that kind of stuff. I like a wide range of music though. David Bowie's Farewell album is beautiful, but not radio material by any stretch of the imagination.

I am a born skeptic—didn’t believe what was said in church. So as not to rock the boat I pretended to be a Baptist throughout adolescence. After that I decided that religion is not something written down in some holy book that you have to believe. Rather it is a state of deep awareness, awe, and...

I was the same. And faked it well. Won nearly all of those bible verse contests. I do remember the exact moment of cognitive disconnect where I realized that these adults around me were not telling these stories like Aesop's fables or Paul Bunyan. These grown people actually literally believed a whale swallowed a man. and all that other crap. My foundation of trust and confidence, crumbled and I knew I would have to fake it.

I use many of those same spices when I make a Jamaican jerk seasoning. And I don't really measure. I just know about the right proportions and fiddle around with the mix until it smells right. heh-heh I guess I will try to follow yours fairly closely the first time since I have no idea what it is supposed to smell like. If you have a Hispanic section in your supermarket, or an actual tienda the spices are often much cheaper. They are often in little plastic bags, but I am guessing you have the jars.
