Who is your childhood celebrity crush?
BufftonBeotch comments on May 18, 2018:
The third Bill and Ted movie is finally being made. I think the title is "Face the Music." (Seems they never got around to writing that song.) As to crushes as a child I liked Ralph Carter (He played Michael Evans on Good Times. I loved the characters outspoken political opinions and it did not hurt that he was cute. Also Michael Jackson. My mother tried to push me to like Donny Osmond instead. Her - "Why don't you like hat cute little Osmond boy?" Me - "His songs are boring and he can't dance." Shortly after that I discovered the TV show Emergency! in syndication playing every weekday afternoon and developed a serious crush on Randolph Mantooth.

It is good to be able to know that we are out there. We are here in all walks of life. Rural and Urban. This is a place of comfort. On edit - I am even acquainted with a young man FB in Pakistan who was talking about wobbling between Atheism and Agnostic. . Being too outspoken about such things can get you killed there. He was studying to be a teacher of American Literature and probably has read more than I have of it. Many modern works. There weren't many I mentioned that he wasn't familiar with. He graduated and did get a teaching job in, I want to say France, but I'm not positive about that. I was very relieved when he left Pakistan. It is difficult enough being an Atheist when the toughest thing is finding a social group you feel you can be yourself in. We are not in fear for our lives. I really admired his courage.

Do u think Christianity is bad ? What's your opinion on it
BufftonBeotch comments on May 5, 2018:
It is bad. It depends on the specific sect how bad, or how they are bad. Snake handlers are obviously dangerous and bad. Catholics have notoriously warped attitudes on sex and turned blind eye to children being sexually abused or even in the worst cases, accused the children of tempting the priests. With their insane attitudes toward any birth control added to their conversion efforts in many poor countries, they add to the economic burden and all the while picking the pockets of those poorest among us. Mother Teresa, used the children of Calcutta as a huge fund raising effort for years. It was a scam. All donations went to the Vatican. Any sick child entering was not given medical care and was placed on a at on the floor to die. She saw suffering as a blessing to bring them to g-d. Until she got the Big C of course. Then she wanted the best medical care and pain meds. African baptist? Entertaining but so loooonnnngggg. Good food though. You get the drift. Others can add.
How many people find it difficult to ask for help?
BufftonBeotch comments on May 5, 2018:
Depends. And I thought "juicer" as some sort of slang for an old car at first, so I had to re-start. There is a website in the States now called Nextdoor.com and it is a place where people can connect. Lots of posts about lost pets and help with other things or just advice. When I left m dome light on overnight and my battery couldn't, it was much easier to ask there then knocking on doors and knowing you were interrupting. I had a jump in 15 minutes or less.
Jabberwocky noun, plural Jab·ber·wock·ies.
BufftonBeotch comments on May 5, 2018:
The pure joy of make believe and nonsense and little children slaying monsters. Lewis got it right. Jabberwocky BY LEWIS CARROLL ’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe: All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe. “Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!” He took his vorpal sword in hand; Long time the manxome foe he sought— So rested he by the Tumtum tree And stood awhile in thought. And, as in uffish thought he stood, The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame, Came whiffling through the tulgey wood, And burbled as it came! One, two! One, two! And through and through The vorpal blade went snicker-snack! He left it dead, and with its head He went galumphing back. “And hast thou slain the Jabberwock? Come to my arms, my beamish boy! O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!” He chortled in his joy. ’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe: All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe. Are you going to be there after dark at all? If so a drive around view of all the buildings and monuments is a must. With only a day I would do the Lincoln memorial. There s no way to convey through images the impact it was to stand in front of him. On that theme, maybe the Ford Theater and the Petersen house, across the street, where he died If you have time, I would try to do museum or museums. The Civil rights museum would be great, but I'm not sure if there is still a waiting list for that. I want to see this one below the next time I visit.
