This is along the lines of what I am thinking. Eggs from chickens raised humanely that are able to scratch in the dirt and supplement their diet with insects and the occasional lizard or small snake taste so much better. As an added bonus this will also keep insects in your yard down. I also would like goats as they will keep weeds knocked back. Might have to give up on the idea of ornamental plants in that case though. Probably have to have a near fortress to protect the vegetable garden, too. Ahh well....still in very early planning stages though. I do know I want a tiny house on a foundation and not a glorified camper, though. Being through two hurricanes clued me into that. (Matthew and Irma) Land elevation will also be a factor.

@DavidLaDeau I watched one of those history channel shows where they reconstructed one of the chariots. I think it was based on a fairly well preserved one they found at an archaeological site. It also seems the discovered it had some sort of rudimentary shock absorbers so that the archer could aim true.
