after years of skepticism toward Christianity, I arrived at the belief that there are no gods. Can I prove it? Nope. But the irrationality of belief based on faith in things that exist purely on assertion of truth is no way to live. This is especially true when those beliefs start to bleed into how we regard one another as fellow humans. I’m not ignorant of that faith. In fact, I hold a degree in Christian theology and was a minister once upon a time. I think an utter failure in the Christian God’s promise to answer in the affirmative prayers made in total faith started my deconversion ad it was finished off when my eyes opened to the absurdity of the Bible and the religion that follows it.
