I hike, bike and flat water kayak, but I'm also capable of lifting a book. I enjoy lifting weights and working out. I'm a reasonably fit, mostly reformed wild child who still has moments of mischief. I don't have a formal religion ... I ask too many questions. I am interested in the paranormal. Oh yeah, I have a job, car, home, and full set of teeth.

If we are compatible and have common interests who knows where the path will lead ... possibly to some secluded spot ... so we can chase fireflies.

If we count illegals in the Census, why not to count tourists?
CS60 comments on Jul 18, 2019:
So what type of tourist are you proposing to count? Only the ones from the US or from another countries? How do you plan on counting someone visiting multiple towns, counties, states? Do they get counted in each one? The census should count everyone living in the US and where they get counted is at their permanent address. I would be curious if ex-pats are counted and how.

What are your thoughts on home schooling?
CS60 comments on Dec 17, 2019:
I think it is mostly religious based. Some Jewish communities also do a lot or exclusively. There are a few non-religious that home school for various reasons. But how good the schooling is depends on how good the home school “teacher” is. If all they teach is is religious dogma, the kids education will be lacking or at least colored in a way that lacks critical thinking skills. If they aren’t patient or good at explaining things in different ways until someone gets it, again the education will be lacking. You can have cruddy teachers at school, but you aren’t stuck with the all day for years.

CS60 comments on Dec 14, 2017:
"I'll vote when there's someone worth voting for." And thank them for tRump. Almost 50% didn't vote in the presidential election. And in any election, there are multiple positions up for election. In the US we take the right to vote for granted. I don't think it should be an option. Typically campaigns degenerate into mud slinging fairly quickly. If they are only mud slinging, the real positions don't get put out there. Or they don't get put out there enough for people to understand. So people wind-up voting against who they think is the bad guy. Everyone should get the same amount of $ and be given 3 or 4 weeks to campaign.

Each UU church is a little different. I’ve found them to be open and accepting. Many members do Not adhere to one specific religion, but follow a couple. Change many to almost all. Generally they seem to ask questions and Not follow directions, unless it involves coffee or beer. The Harrisburg UU has rules against proselytizing of any flavor of religion and I suspect most UU churches have that rule.

CS60 comments on Oct 8, 2017:
If prostitution is illegal, why is it that the women are mainly the ones arrested? Why are the johns not routinely arrested. Also, there is a lot of sex-trafficking going on, which means one of the parties is being forced to have sex. I think decriminalized prostitution will make that situation worse.
