I wholeheartedly agree with you. In fact, there have been many of the dioceses that have needed to file for bankruptcy or are losing money because people are leaving the church. They are also closing many of the schools. The church that my parents attend had a school that closed in 2015 and, to make matters worse, the diocese decided to merge their parish with another parish and sell the church, school, and land. They now go to a smaller church that is not capable of doing what the other church was able to do for the community. It's all about money. I say tax them as well.

I know the feeling. My company does events like that. And people definitely go overboard. Sometimes it's funny, other times it's kind of annoying, but the worst is worrying how they are going to get home. My company really looks out for its employees and would pay for a cab if necessary, but they say they are fine. It really worries me sometimes.

That's true. My cat wakes me up because he can see the bottom of his food dish. I go and shake the dish and that buys me about 2 or 3 more hours of sleep. I give feed them when I leave for work, when I get home, and just before I go to bed. It's 1/3 cup and there is always food in the dish. So he thinks I'm starving him because he can see the bottom of the dish.

When I first saw this post I was going to say that I haven't reached that level of desperation yet to pay someone to go out with me. I'm close, but not quite there yet. After reading the whole post, I think you and I are in the same boat. I think that since we both have been burned by others we tend not to openly trust the intentions of others. We are both socially awkward and a little on the heavier side. And I know how easy it is to be able to put ourselves down about various things. However, you are by no means unattractive. You have an air of cuteness about you. It's hard for us to see what others see when we look into the mirror because of the abuse we have endured throughout life. No, they did not, they regrouped and changed strategies and fought on. Rome lost over 50,000 people in that afternoon. One of the worst defeats the Romans ever suffered.
