I totally agree with you. Both parties absolutely suck. They are both huge piles of shit, you just have to find the one that smells the least. There may be a few good ones, but they are few and far between. This country is falling apart, we are watching our government, or democracy, be dismantled an no one cares. We have been pitted against each other for so long and told the same lies that people are actually believing them. It is sad as to what we have become. Actually, this is what we always have been. We have never been able, or we never really wanted to, move beyond the whole race issue. Just look at the south after the Civil War and again at it today. Not much has changed. Republicans are still working on ways to stop blacks from voting, there are still great devides amongst blacks and whites (even though the whites now, or maybe always had another target of bigotry, the undocumented immigrant.), there is a resurgence in racial hate crimes, white police officers are able to murder unarmed black men with no to little accountability. We are only fooling ourselves if we think this just happened overnight. No, we have been in denial about this for a very long time. We'd like to think that we have made significant progress, but we have barely made a move in the greater skeam of things. One could tell that we never came to terms with our problems, well mainly because we never dealt with them when we had the chance. We failed reconstruction and looked the other way during the Jim crow Era. We allowed religion to insert its ugly head into our government to dictate what can be taught in schools, what a woman can and cannot do to her own body, and to corrupt the thinking of the people into thinking that a human being could possibly know what a supposedly loving god was thinking, especially about the LGBTQ society. It's wrong for two men or two women to get married. Yeah, well says who? Why can't people just be allowed to be happy? Why can't women have the option to choose without any ridicule? Why have we allowed a government to sit idle for 8 years while a black man was in the white house only to go into overdrive when an orange one moves in? This has been about race and it will always bee about race, that is why congress refused to do anything during Obama's administration. Ever since the 1960s we have tried to make positive strides but it was nothing more than sweeping the stuff under the rug. Now someone comes along and says that it's OK to be racist, it's OK to be sexist, it's OK to be a bigot, it's OK to treat women like trash. When my parents went out of town one day, they couldn't find one of their cats. I went over to look and I searched everywhere. I looked in every room and the basement at least three times. I decided I'd leave and come back. When I returned, I walked in the door and there she was sitting on the chair. I have no idea where she was and I was calling and calling her. I don't know where she was, but at least she was safe.

I am heartbroken.

I don't think they will. They still might happen, but won't be as big as they used to be. I personally think that humans were not designed to be monogamous. Monogamy was kind of forced upon us because, in the ancient past, men had several wives and concubines. We have surpassed our DNA by centuries and it will take a long time for it to catch up. We still the urge to populate the species even though there are over 7 billion of us.
