Looked into some senior residences awhile back , and decided they weren't for me . Then the pandemic hit and the patients in those places were dying in numbers . Glad I chose not to go . Some super neighbors moved in next door and I hired one of them , a stay at home Mom , with teen and adult children , to handle routine house hold chores for me for about four hours , once a week . Best choice for both of us .

In my early teens , Mom took us to the dentist . Eventually my brother refused to go , because he fekt he was getting more holes drilled than he had cavities . For several decades afterwards afterwards , my gums were itchy , red , sore , and swollen , and I was destroying them with dental floss . Turns out I was alleric to the amalgum they used to fill the cavaties I may or may not have needed . Had to have all of them removed , and replaced with other stuff .

Put a pot of money aside . There are always things popping up that you don't expect. My annual income dropped by 20% , when I retired . Property taxes can be a bitch . If you have an IRA , the government and everybody else are out to steal it from you . When they decide you have to cash it out from whatever it was invested in , that cam be a real bitch . Be ready to role it over into a new IRA . You still have to take out a specific amount each year , once you've reached a certain age . Be very careful for the first year or two , at least , until you learn what you're actually dealing with .

But you've done a great job of typing ! Yes , you're not used to doing things one handed , but with a bit of thought , you may find you can do some new things with a little help from a foot or two . I've never had a broken hand , but I am drastically allergic to the poisoness plants , so have had a couple of instances where I couldn't use both hands for a couple of weeks . My boss , once told me , I was too logical to be a Federal employee . For the. most part , I've given up actually sharing a residence with others . What seems logical to me , doesn't seem to please others , and vise versa . I've been going through this , as well . Had my real lenses replaced with acrylic some years back , then started having laser treatments - at least 14 on each eye . When they reached an end to that they started poking needles into my eyeballs . At one point I had started getting the large print books , and was afraid I wouldn't b able to read at all in a short while , but although I still wear glasses , I am back to reading regular print .

My Dad worked for the government . One day he came hone from work , all worked up . They had to fill out forms saying whether they were black or white . He was pissed off , because , he said , if there weren't enough blacks working there , they'd hire more blacks and they'd be force to work with them . So he and a lot of his co-workers lied on the forms , saying they were black . Decades later , I worked for the government . When I was first hired on , they gave us a whole battery of tests , to see where our best job appitudes were . Near the end , they separated the men from the women , and gave the men an additional set of tests . I later learned that group of tests dealt with electronics . Ten years later , the Federal Government passed a law against discrimination based on gender . The CQB tests were opened , for all to take all of them . I retook it and was told I did very well in the electronics field , and the counslor recommended that I switch to the electronic field . While the agency had electronic courses available for employees , I was told I could not take them because they were not directly related to the work I was doing . I was told I couldn't transfer into a section where I could take the courses , because I wasn't trained in that field . I pointed out that , if a kid .newly graduated from high school joined the Agency , he would be allowed to go to one of those sections and take the Agency courses , In the mean time , my test scores showed that my apptitude test showed my scores were where they would expect a college graduate to score . Later , my supervisor , decided to retire . I had by then , had way more college courses than he'd ever had , in the electronic field , and had been with the Agency longer . His job eas opened up for applications , They said they were going to offer the job as a lower level that I had already reached , and l I was brought to learn , if I took the job, that would not get a promotion , but if a male took the job , he'd get promoted within 6 months .

For a time , after seeing Imans preaching against non-muslims on the internet , murders for minor things like , a manufacturers' insignia on a jacket a woman was wearing included red , then learning that our government was planning to bring 10,000 of them here to Houston , I became very uncomfortable with that . Eventually , a local Mosque invited the local community to visit , they showed us around the mosque , were very comfortable and polite , and even cooked a buffet type meal , so we could sample their foods , I felt much more comfortable , being around them . They made an effort to encourage a peaceful co-existence . I suggest we , as agnostics , follow their lead . We all know there are lies posted against us , because we don't bow to their rules , it would help if we were polite , invited them to really know who we are and are not , to encourage peaceful co-existence .
