New photo taken 1/26/2020 .
In my experience , the men in my life put next to nothing into a relationship , but wanted a hell of a lot from me . It didn't work out . I posted a request to see what people were willing to put into a relationship and what they expected to get out of one . Again , there was very little anyone was willing to invest in a relationship . My cats put more into a relationship than people are willing to do , so I'm withdrawing my dating site search . I'm happier on my own .
My folks weren't educated or rich , but Dad was good with his hands . He improved and/or expanded every place we lived in . I used what I learned from him , bought property , and improved them , rented them out , then sold them at a profit . At one point , I owned four properties .

Mom spent the last 52 years of her life living in Bermuda . I stopped counting my round trips to the northern tip of the Bermuda triangle after 14 . I've also visited Mexico , England , Scotland , Wales , Austria , Bavaria , and France . Oh , and California . It's foreign too , in it's own way .
Due to an ongoing stream of scammers on all dating sites , my permanent policy is that , no matter what the justification you give , I never , any circumstances send money .
Sapiosexual . High IQ , voracious reader , love Sci/Fi/Fantasy , non-smoker , seldom have any alcohol , don't use illegal drugs . Two adult children on their own . Two cats their Mom left with me .
I like being me . I like the person I have become . I like where I am at this point , in my life . I like what I've accomplished . And now , retirement suites me . I live in a nice little castle , with a long skinny moat out back . I enjoy LARPs , SciFiFantasy Cons , playing D & D , an occasional movie , catching up on all the TV shows I missed , while putting myself through college ( earned a BS in IFSM ) , swimming , and a little gardening .

 I am so fed up with even hearing about our Pres, that I simply remove the source , when anyone posts anything about Trump .
  those who think it's important , I don't wear make up , and don't have any on , in the photos . I truly wish this body was healthier than it is , and thinner , but I still manage . 
 I prefer people who are constructive , not distructive . I  have no desire to be with those who choose to smoke , use illegal drugs , or are alcoholic . Absolutely will not put up with abuse of any kind , I'm better than that . I'm not here to bail you out . My donations go to Planned Parenthood . Interesting , when I first signed up , they were showing 9 in the 80 % and 90 % ranges . Eventually , I posted that I wondered , with changes and updates , over time , if they re-evaluated the percentages . Which they immediately did . Apparently , over time , I raised the bar .

I was told , Texas does not have a State income tax . They do , but they call it real estate taxes . All three of them come due at the end of the year , and just to add insult to injury , the Home Owners Association , also sends their annual bill , due at the end of the year .

On facebook , when friends post political things , I block the source , not the friend . That way I don't lose a friend , but do reduce the numbers of political posts I see . I am in agreement , not wanting to see political posts here , and avoid them as much as i can , by not going to groups designated as being for political posts.

Sometime back , on a different dating site , three gentlemen indepentently contacted me ,and even included photos . Each of the three then left the US for jobs in Malaysia . Then each of the three wrote me urgent messages that they were in trouble and needed a LOT of money immediately . Some months later , AARP did an expose' in their monthly newsletter , about a group they called the Maylasia Boys , who were running scams , and included the same photos I had received from these guys . THAT is why admin. is trying to out scammers , before they have a chance to milk others on this site . The only way to , "get real ," is if everyone works together , to illuminate the scammers .

I usually rode shotgun with my husband . One day , for some unremembered reason , I was driving and he was shot . the car , From the moment he got in the car , he started grabbing , things to hold on to . I finally pulled over and asked he what it was that he was afraid of .? Was I driving too fast ? Recklessly ? Nothing , just that he wasn't driving . I suggested , since I wasn't driving recklessly , that he was no more at risk , than I was , when riding with him , and I certainly wasn't acting in that manner when he drove .
