You're on to something here . There are different kinds of love . Love for a child , love for a leader of some kind , love for a parent , love , as you mentioned , for a pet , love for a famous person , perhaps a singer or actor , you may even feel love for a place . What do all of these have in common ? What is it about all these different things makes you love them ? I know this sounds backwards , but we feel love , attraction , if you will , for those that make us feel good about ourselves . I saw another post on here about cold bedrooms . People who are in a relationship , but aren't having sex . They can't seem to understand that when the person they're with does not feel good about themselves , because of the way their partner is treating them , they have killed the love , the attraction .

Yes she is trying to be friendly , but let's say , for instance the women she approached , were discussing an eminent divorce , or a serious discussion about a major health issue of a very close relative in the hospital . I remember waking up on the sofa . Someone else was in my bed . Someone had given me a toy record player in a suite case like box . Someone told me Mom was in a hospital , not that I knew what a hospital was , and that she'd be back soon . Someone got mad that I kept playing the same record . I said it only had one . They showed me that the record had two sides . I believe it was when she gave birth to my brother . He was a year and a half younger than I was . Some time later (months ?) , Mom laid the infant in a playpen and sat me there with him . I thought I was too old for the playpen . Mom and Dad were wall papering the room . Mom made long curls of some wall paper scraps and draped them over my head . I think I took a nap .

He told me , that he and the others would normally meet the driver at the dock , when he tooted , and help him move the bags from the truck , to a flatbed on the dock , but since it was a woman , they weren't going to help her . Monday evening , I asked him how things went . He confessed , they heard the truck pulling in to the dock , but had left the flatbed parked just inside the post office door . The woman , threw open the back doors of the truck , but , instead of tossing the bags from the truck to the dock , she tossed them across the entire width of the dock , landing them on the flatbed , parked inside the building . My husband lost another slice of my respect .

It could also change hands when someone fails to pay their mortgage payments and the property goes into foreclosure , then the bank sells it to someone else . If someone dies and there are no heirs or relatives , things can get a bit more complicated . The point is , you don't want to buy a property , then find out someone else has a legitiment claim to it .

I was 27 when we separated , and did not feel I needed a gun . Now I'm a senior citizen . I live alone , I'm disabled , I live in a nice but not ritzy community , but there are frequent thefts , break-ins , and assaults . At 72 , I took a gun course , qualified and applied for my license to carry , bought a gun and amo. , and put it away . Haven't gotten it out since .

Some folks really don't put much stock in token gifts , and most likely wouldn't care if they stopped . It means much more to others . To them , it's a method of validating themselves and their relationship . It's as if , by not celebrating what ever moment of thoughtfulness has been indicated , means that you don't value the person to be honored . Ask yourself , does he treat you well ? Does he meet his responsibilities towards you and your family ? Is that missing card really that important ? Does he make you happy in other ways ?

I may a new organization , and meet a lot of people . Those are acquaintances , but may not be friends , yet . Friends are the ones you keep hanging out with , because you enjoy their company , and over time , you get to know them better simply acquaintances . If you're really lucky , over time , if you continue to enjoy one another's company , you may be lucky enough to become close friends . And may , eventually , begin doing other things together , in addition to being at the same organization you originally joined .
