Very lucky . Medical professionals try to control the spread of the flue and other diseases by reducing the number of people who get sick , in the first place , through vaccinations . Diseases such as TB , polio , tetnes , and measles were common when I was small , and are nearly extinct now due to vaccinations . Not everyone can have the shots , such as very young infants or those with allergies , so they're still at risk , and these diseases can kill . And it's the unvaccinated who become carriers , who can pass the the virus on to other unvaccinated folks . Please don't kill others due to neglect .

It's a safety measure you share with your friends . Males can get angry if they don't get their wishes , and attack a lone woman , for refusing them . In some countries this even includes covering the woman with either acid chemicals or combustible fluid and setting them on fire .
