New photo taken 1/26/2020 .
In my experience , the men in my life put next to nothing into a relationship , but wanted a hell of a lot from me . It didn't work out . I posted a request to see what people were willing to put into a relationship and what they expected to get out of one . Again , there was very little anyone was willing to invest in a relationship . My cats put more into a relationship than people are willing to do , so I'm withdrawing my dating site search . I'm happier on my own .
My folks weren't educated or rich , but Dad was good with his hands . He improved and/or expanded every place we lived in . I used what I learned from him , bought property , and improved them , rented them out , then sold them at a profit . At one point , I owned four properties .

Mom spent the last 52 years of her life living in Bermuda . I stopped counting my round trips to the northern tip of the Bermuda triangle after 14 . I've also visited Mexico , England , Scotland , Wales , Austria , Bavaria , and France . Oh , and California . It's foreign too , in it's own way .
Due to an ongoing stream of scammers on all dating sites , my permanent policy is that , no matter what the justification you give , I never , any circumstances send money .
Sapiosexual . High IQ , voracious reader , love Sci/Fi/Fantasy , non-smoker , seldom have any alcohol , don't use illegal drugs . Two adult children on their own . Two cats their Mom left with me .
I like being me . I like the person I have become . I like where I am at this point , in my life . I like what I've accomplished . And now , retirement suites me . I live in a nice little castle , with a long skinny moat out back . I enjoy LARPs , SciFiFantasy Cons , playing D & D , an occasional movie , catching up on all the TV shows I missed , while putting myself through college ( earned a BS in IFSM ) , swimming , and a little gardening .

 I am so fed up with even hearing about our Pres, that I simply remove the source , when anyone posts anything about Trump .
  those who think it's important , I don't wear make up , and don't have any on , in the photos . I truly wish this body was healthier than it is , and thinner , but I still manage . 
 I prefer people who are constructive , not distructive . I  have no desire to be with those who choose to smoke , use illegal drugs , or are alcoholic . Absolutely will not put up with abuse of any kind , I'm better than that . I'm not here to bail you out . My donations go to Planned Parenthood . Interesting , when I first signed up , they were showing 9 in the 80 % and 90 % ranges . Eventually , I posted that I wondered , with changes and updates , over time , if they re-evaluated the percentages . Which they immediately did . Apparently , over time , I raised the bar .

There have been a LOT of recent multiple shootings and deaths , because someone had a gun and misused it . There are many , many more who own guns and do not go out on shooting sprees , but do have them for home protection . And yes , as much as I dislike it , there are those who do , go hunting and put food on their tables . Face it , we are very much a meat eating country . Sex trafficking is a horrible crime , that leaves the victims and their off spring , scarred for life , but seldom causes problems of any kind to the traffickers themselves . They need to be locked away , not as revenge , but as a permanent means of restricting them from hurting even more . As long as sex trafficking is lucrative , with little chance of any punishment , restrictions , or financial expenses to themselves , they will continue to contrive ways to increase their own income at the expense of others .

Some of these are too true to be really funny, but I chuckled at most of them.

Sometime back , got a note from the local HOA , complaining about the weed in my lawn . I wrote back , where I was from, clover was a financial crop , farmers planted to both improve the soil and also used as feed . The crab grass that makes up most of the local lawns was the only other thing growing locally that's only purpose was to keep the soil from washing away when it rains , but was considered a weed we tried to eradicate , where I was from . They wrote back the clover was the weed , and had a lparticularly verilent strain they wanted removed . So crab grass weeds in the front lawn , and lovely flowering clover ground cover , in the back yard . Got cha !
