Decades ago , I read , "Everything you wanted to know about sex , but were afraid to ask,", a famous book written by medical researchers, after their research studies . One thing researchers seem to ignore is training . From an early age girls are taught - don't . Girls are taught don't get pregnant , especially outside of marriage . There are sexually transmitted diseases HIV/AIDS among others .And for girls there are social demands - those who were sexually active were , and in many countries still are socially branded and in some places families, religion , or law goes as far as killing the wayward girl . Men, are not placed in these positions . Fathers are proud of their wayward , sexually active sons , from a very early age . They advise sons to have sex , but don't get trapped into marriage (being responsible for a pregnancy). It's a double standard .

I should have retired before I did. Retirement is the best mental relaxation ever!

We learned what we've known all along. People do not care about the risks of getting sick and spreading the disease to others, even when the guidelines are simple - stay home, wear a mask covering your mouth and nose , six foot distancing , never cough or sneeze on others- put your face into your elbow if you have to cough or sneeze. Idiots are more concerned about their "rights," than they are about being intelligent and avoiding spreading the disease . They intentionally, party hardy in huge gatherings, getting drunk, sharing close contacts, booze, drugs, etc., even religious gatherings then whine because they not only got sick, but introduced the sickness to all their close friends and relatives. Feel sorry for poor little them. Not enough hospital beds, not enough medical personnel, set up a go fund me site because they weren't prepared to pay for the funerals., the medical expenses .

Kill off an endangered species today , for the exclusive pleasure of one or two rich or powerful folks and that species has no future . Protect that species and they may rebound into a wider population that lasts long into the future . Same with trees . Some species of trees , no longer exist . Kill off the good stuff , and you have only weeds left . Pollute the water , and everything will eventually die .
