I'm not sure of what value this is. With initial phrases (LOL, BRB, et al) things are changing as they always have I remember when 'can not' was two words, or when punctuation was inside the quote. Poor grammar , leads to misunderstandings . Lack of punctuation , makes posts difficult to read and understand . If you were born and raised in this country and still can't write in comprehensible American-English , then why would anyone feel your comments and opinions have any real value ?

@Coffeo Perhaps I should have been more generic . If you can't even communicate , in the language of the country you were born and raised in , others will not value your opinion .

@Coffeo At my age , my vision is not what it used to be . I intentionally leave a space around my punctuation marks , so that I can actually see them . Like all parents , I always put the welfare of my children first , ahead of my own wants and needs . But you're right , and I do not expect them to be there for me , when I'm no longer able to care for myself . I supported them up to and including paying for collage for them . They made other choices . They threw that opportunity away . And they now regret not taking the education I was paying for . But a part of being a good parent is knowing when to let go . It's a bit like paying forward . My parents supported me , until I was able to stand on my own two feet . When I was 19 , they moved to another country , and I was on my own . Mine left , when they were ready . In the years since they moved out , I continued working , took on extra , made some investments , and secured my own future , because I am under no delusion , that the children I spent twenty years caring for , will have any interest in caring for me . They have their own families , and I have contributed to them , when they were in need . As for their concept of things , when my youngest was 18 and she was planning to move out , she came to me one day and said she had been thinking about things , and she thought the fair way of doing it , was to sell my house and she'd take half . I asked her , how much of the down payment she'd contributed , how much of settlement fees she'd paid , how many of the mortgage payments she'd paid , how much of the property taxes she'd paid , how much of the materials bought for remodeling/upgrades she'd bought ? Not one red cent had she contributed , yet she felt she was owed half .

@twshield I was not suggesting making this decision for them . The topic here is , after all , suicide . Many of today's diseases are slow developing , long term , with no cures . I was born with an undersized lower rear aorta artery , which , over time , has completely closed itself off altogether . I've been anemic most of my life , which , I was recently told , was due to kidney failure , which I was also told is due to the medication , I take for my diabetes . My GP told me I should be on dialysis , but my kidney doctor says , not yet . The diabetes has also caused deterioration of my eyes . They've replaced my lenses with acrylic lenses , I've had over 14 laser treatments for each eye , and now they inject two needles into each eyeball every six weeks or so . I've had surgery on my spine - they fused several of my vertebrae , and on my neck , where they've also fused several vertebrae . The pain does not go away . The surgery on my spine was over 20 years ago . I have had osteo arthritis , first diagnosed nearly 30 years ago , which is also a progressive disease , and deals out progressive joint pain . Oh forgot to mention the tinnitis . And I'm also in the not so early stages of alzheimers . Mom didn't know me at all ,the last few years of her life . Next month , I turn 74 . What do you think the chances are of me getting a replacement kidney , even in the unlikely event , that one might become available ? I've lived my life on my terms . There is absolutely no chance that you or others , are going to see that I am confined to a bed , continuing in constant pain , with absolutely no chance of any kind of recovery . I'm not asking your permission . When this body reaches the point where there is no longer any kind of quality of life left for me , it will be my decision , not yours .

Cast1es replies on May 29, 2018:
@Piece2YourPuzzle Actually , it's the other way around . I asked one question in this thread . ONE ! To date , the men who have chosen to , "answer," have chosen do anything **but** answer the question I asked . I did not miss the point of what you said . You , like all the others , have commented extensively , but did not answer the question I asked . I have even tried suggesting an example . "For instance , an enthusiastic gardener would improve his spouses life by growing chemical free , GMO free , fresh vegetables ." Still , you chose to play around the topic , without answering it . I have come to the conclusion , after reading and hearing so many male complaints about women , that perhaps men in general , have absolutely no intention of being or doing anything at all to improve a woman's life . But rather than make that conclusion , I am offering these brilliant men an opportunity to supply their own version of what it is about them that is special . It is very disturbing to read that no men feel there is anything about themselves that is anything that will improve their woman's life . I have also included the comment , that I have read that the average woman , after putting in a full 40 hour work week , comes home to another four hours nightly of housework - washing , drying , folding , hanging clothes and putting them away , cooking meals , washing dishes , cleaning toilets , sinks, tubs , scrubbing floors , grocery shopping , lugging in the family's food and storing it away , changing dirty diapers (yuck) , bathing the children , oiling their skin , dressing them and reading them bedtime stories . Now I have expanded that , for you , too . Please , please , please , tell me . What is it that you as a man , feel you do to improve a woman's life ? So , let's try again . but this time , please actually answer the question . " What is it about you , that **you** think makes you worth the risk of dating ? "

@phxbillcee You replied that you have self control , and have not , to date , so much as struck , let alone killed a woman . You said each should make her own decision , as to whether you are worth it , but gave no suggestion as to how a woman's life would be better for having you in it . The question was , " What is it about you , that makes **you** feel , you are worth the risk of dating ." It wasn't why do you think women are willing to date you .

Additionally , you also commented that the statistics dealing with drug crimes , show that the victims are 78.7 % male ? Perhaps that shows more males are involved in drug crimes , also not a great reason for becoming intimate with those involved in crimes . I guess you're correct , in that people can and will try to manipulate statistics to try to corrupt data or at least try to confuse the issue .
