We've made progress , but like many other issues , they're still trying to take these advances away from us . And we've still got a long way to go . After my divorce , when I had been working for the Federal Government for over ten years , I was working at having some remodeling work done on my kitchen . After we worked all the details of the job, and the documents had been prepared , the man handed me the papers to sign , but said , take these home and have your husband sign them . I signed them and told him to take them home and have his wife sign them , because he was too immature to handle business transactions . At which point , he tried to set me with an ex Marine co-worker who had fallen off a roof , and injured his back . I worked on a military base and didn't need to meet more military men .

Why bother ? They have their beliefs and I have mine . Quite sure they're no more interested in hearing my thoughts on the subject , than I am of hearing theirs . On the other hand , while I don't know everything about the topic , I attended Sunday school for a couple of decades , and I find I usually know more about their topic than they do . So when they come knocking , I have , on more than one occasion told they what it actually says , then told them to go home and read their Bible . Perhaps by actually reading it , in time they'll realize the same things I did .

While it varies from person to person , personally , I find most men have not bothered to check to see if they've picked up any STD's along the way , so I'm in no big hurry to be invaded by someone I've only recently met . If he's that fast with me , it's reasonably certain , he's exchanged his bodily fluids with a lot of others . And even more likely he hasn't been tested for any of the (sometimes deadly ) STD's . Because I said no to a French kiss the first time we met , I have neither seen nor heard from him since . His loss .
