At one point I had four properties . Had one tenant , who decided partial payments . He never went back to full payments . Eventually , when I retired and moved away , I sold off the last property . There was an economic down fall not long after I moved . House across the street was a rental , tenant didn't pay his rent . Eventually , they got new tenants , who moved in without a deposit , and never paid any of the rent . Eventually the owner moved back in himself . One morning , around 6:00 , I heard a loud speaker . the place as surrounded by a lot of cars , some were police cars , and a SWAT vehicle was sitting on the sidewalk near the front door . The police had parked at the next small road over and waited for the owner to turn up , then set up a trap to arrest him . Apparently he had tried a different means of support . Didn't work . All that said , may I suggest an IRA account .

A couple of years ago , when we were in Puerto Rico , many public tourist interests ( museums and such ) were closed , apparently due to scandalous theft among the government officials . SInce then , there was no power on the island , due to a horrible hurricane , for a very long time . Hopefully , that's fixed by now . Good luck , hon !
