Some time back , I was visiting my parents over the Christmas holidays . They took us to the island's biggest hotel , for a show . Afterwards , they told me they knew the primary entertainer , and asked me if I wanted to meet him . I was almost finished eating , but picked up an olive just as we were leaving the table , and , it turned out , he was coming to meet my parents . They introduced us and he leaned forward , I thought for a hug , but he had a different thought in mind , leaned forward and stuck his tongue in my mouth . I pushed the olive seed into his mouth , He was almost as surprised as I was . In my opinion , and introduction , does not mean he was invited to invade my body in any manner . I asked my parents to take up home .

Decades ago , a single woman , where I worked , decided she had been to way too many engagement/bridal shower parties , and at her age she was unlikely to be getting engaged or married , so she decided to have a not engagement party for herself . The party didn't actually happen , but not too long afterwards , she found her man . I wonder if attempting to have the party , brought her attention as being still single ?

I buy distilled water , for drinking . I was sick with the flue for about 5 weeks , so spent that time in bed , and both of my hands broke out in a bumpy red rash , that eventually caused the skin to peel off of my hands . I think something in my water caused that .

I am going to a Stem Cell seminar this coming Tuesday , for my knees. Some twenty or so years ago , three of the vertabrae at my waist were fused . Although there was a positive change in the level of pain , it has continued to hurt , just at a lower level . I lived alone . They arranged for a nurse to visit . I needed a bath , but was afraid to get into the tub . I asked her about a bath . She told me nurses don't do that . They sent another lady who washed me , while I sat on the lid of the toilet . The few things the nurse did were totally pointless . For instance I got a call to unlock the front door , so she could come into the house . So I got out of bed , carefully walked to the front door , unlocked it , then walked back to my bedroom and got back into bed . Her plan for the day was . she moved a chair to the front door , then had me walk to the front door and sit there for awhile , then walk back to my bed . Although it's been nearly twenty years since the surgery , I was told (after the surgery ) that they only expected it to hold up for ten years , then another surgery would have to be done to replace the original metal .

Very handy . Something nearly every weekend , this time of the year , Went to a German festival last weekend , There's a Greek festival , and a Polish Festival coming up in the very near future .

I've looked into two assisted living homes , and at this point , my opinion is , I would hate it ! The last one I viewed , the rooms were either private or semi-private . None of the occupied rooms had any books , magazines , newspapers , radios , TVs , or computers , and not one of the inhabitants so much as looked up when the owner opened their door to show me what the rooms looked like . They were ," living dead ," staring at their walls .
