I had read about a Senior game day at our local library , so I dropped in one day to check it out . While there , and talking with some of the players , one of the ladies told me about a couple of other games, One , held at a church , charged $5.00 , but included lunch . A second , also held at a church , was free , but also included lunch . A lot of hospitals were / are built and run by religious organizations . When the increase in Muslin immigrants was in the news , and Sharia Law was scaring us , a local Muslin group held an open house and offered a meal at their long time here , mosque . It did indeed , ease my mind . The agnostics , are not organized . We don't have a record of doing , "good works ." I'd suggest , instead of continually laughing at the religious folks , that we learn ways of being nice to them , in spite of our differences . The best way of reducing the concerns is not by ridiculing them . It's by proving that we are good , caring l upright people .

First day , back at work , after our Honeymoon ; after work , I cooked dinner , and was washing the dishes . My brand new husband came in and picked up a dishtowel . I'm thinking , "Totally unexpected and oh , so sweet ." He twisted the towel tightly into a knot , and used it to whack my bottom , then made a dash outside . It hurt . I started to chase him , then stopped and gave thought to locking up the house , but didn't . He came back inside claiming it was a joke and funny . I wasn't laughing . I told him , that was the first , last , and only time , he ever hit me or hurt me in any way , because I wasn't putting up with that crap . The good news is , he never hit me again . Never the less , it was also the second step in the beginning of the decline in our sex life . When you work at building up a relationship , the sex gets better . When you work at tearing down a relationship , you also decrease the sex drive .

Measles vaccines were in preliminary stages when I was born . Females were living together as families , because the men were at war , and the ladies could not afford to live on their own . One of the ladies sharing the lodgings we were in had measles , so Mom got a vaccination for me , at about 6 months old . My little brother , was born a year and a half after me , but , as the vaccine was still new , wasn't vaccinated . During our early years , each time measles came around I'd be sick for a bit , but never broke out , Ed got sick every time there was a measles out break . He went through every variety there was . I finally got sick in about the third grade . And as it happened , I was allergic to the medication they put me on . It gave me huge itchy blisters .

Cat was always trying to sit on my keyboard . I had a matched pair filing drawers sitting on top of my desk , so told him , I'd get him a board we could sit across the top of the filing drawer cases for him . I stopped at the local hardware/lumber store before going grocery shopping . As I'm carrying in groceries and the shelf , he was, as usual immediately right there . I laid things down and began putting food in it's proper places . When I got to the shelf , the cat had wrapped his arms around it and wouldn't let go . THey don't talk much , but I swear I think they understand more than they usually let on .

I suggest human population growth , has more to due with health issues and contraceptives , than with oil production . In earlier eras , when diseases , starvation , and war controlled population growth , it was not uncommon for women to bear ten or twenty children , most of whom did not survive . As the world changes , and food becomes more available for the masses , as war is limited to smaller portions of the globe , and as diseases are reduced by vaccines , contraceptives also came to the market . Although it takes time to convince the masses away from the concept of biggest families being the most successful , smaller families have proven to be a greater advantage .

Advertising , has convinced them they deserve a lot of things on a daily basis , that the older generations , grew up viewing as luxuries . Although they may not look at it that way , most are saving though , through Social Security or some other forced retirement plan . I think , from a solid point of view , the younger generation does invest in transportation . In this culture , people no longer live in slums , within walking distance of factory jobs . Transportation , is a requirement for most jobs . They also invest in homes . Along with these , they are also starting their families and all the expenses these involve . So yes , in the early stages , they do set up investments , but for the most part , they aren't in the stock market . There are some instances though , where employees can invest in the companies they work for . For instance , if they work for a manufacturing company , they may receive a part of their salary in the form of shares in the company . There was a great explosion of new companies , often referred to as the dot.com companies . New enterprises have moved from manufacturing to intellectual enterprises . And , hopefully , some of the less beneficial companies , have moved on to better things . But when I look closely , there are small businesses forming . It takes time to grow new companies , but I do see it happening . A former neighbor , who left high school at 15 , has started several , that I am aware of . Early in their marriage they owned a sandwich shop , eventually they sold that . He and another friend invested in a gym . Once their gym got off the ground, he sold his portion to his partner . He opened a company that goes to health insurance companies ,that are reluctant to pay for medical procedures , and helps his clients , receive the payments they are due . He's invested in the crypto currencies and rents warehouses , to hold the ,"fishing ," machines ." He and some other investors , are buying warehouses to hold their crypto currency fishing machines . We sometimes discussed our stock market investments . Most certainly , you recognize companies like Amazon ( Jeff Beezos ) ,Microsoft ( Bill Gates ) and facebook , huge companies , with extremely wealthy men and women . But they didn't start out well known . It does take time to reach these heights . Not all companies are successful , and you don't always hear about those that are . But I do believe people are starting new businesses on a regular basis .
