@Freedompath I was a NYC teacher for over 26 years; the root of the problem is -for instance- ignoring the bullying some kids endure, lack of discipline, no paying attention to the special needs of the kids, no crisis intervention, condoning bad behavior, no evaluating those kids who enjoy torturing their classmates and saying "I didn't mean it."....no expelling the students who shouldn't be in the school. Learning how to teach how to learn
LeighShelton comments on Mar 20, 2018:
children should be taught how to learn not what to learn.
DUCHESSA replies on Mar 21, 2018:
"How to learn" Yes..........What to learn? No. The kids should be exposed to everything and provided with the tools to separate the good from the bad. Also, the material should be tailored to the needs and abilities of the kids while receiving the basics. BTW, the most important issue is "lack of discipline" . Without discipline no learning is possible....but, as most people know, lack of discipline is fomented by the system as a way to manipulate the people. ...since less educated human beings are easier to fool.

Two girls in the last school I taught couldn't wait -every day- to emotionally torture a female classmate who suffered from depression and became very anxious each time she was taunted. One day the provocation it was too much and the poor girl reacted by stabbing one of them with a lab' scissors....she missed her eye by less than an inch. Now, this poor girl has a record.

Should public nudity be legal?

Just at we are all born atheists, so we are all born nudists. Nudity should be legal and without penalty. I was one of those witness ....and my recollection of the accident, from the angle where I was standing, was not even close to the information provided by the guy who saw the accident from across the street. Where do you stand on education in Liberal Arts?
