I stopped giving to large organizations. Too much goes to “overhead” and salaries. As an example, the head of the United Way in my region pulls in almost half a million in salary, drives a Jaguar and wears Armani suits. Our plant gives upwards of $450k a year.. not even enough to afford “the boss”. WTF!!!! I give locally when possible. Clubs for youth, Transition Houses and more recently to small organizations who are still settling Syrian refugees.. remember them?? Charity in and of itself is an incredibly powerful and important virtue to possess. I count myself so very fortunate to contribute to my community when I can. Being a drop in the rising tide that lifts all boats is one of life’s satisfactions for me. ☀️☀️☀️

No. I don’t think that is ever a joke. No guy would take the chance of a girl he didn’t want to date accepting his suggestion. You were passively/ aggressive flirted with. Lol But be aware that if this is how he goes about asking for a date.. meaning NOT asking and getting you to guess at his intentions.. you could be setting yourself up with someone who plays constant communication games. It sucks to be with someone who isn’t clear with their thoughts and meanings.

Hmmmm.. repellent is a strong word🤔. I have a sauce pan that I use only as a vegetable steamer. Over the years the surface has become similar to that of a chalkboard. Washing it has become very uncomfortable. It “feels” , not sounds, like finger nails being dragged across the chalkboard. Weird!!

I don’t think it matters really. At the moment I am 59 and have been casually seeing a lovely young woman of 26 since Feb. ( we met online just before everything shut down. )We meet up once or twice a month to spend some quality time together. Other than that we maintain a daily text/ chat routine. Works for both of us with no heavy demands on either side. I think what becomes important over time is a matching of temperament and expectations. The wider the age gap the less cultural similarities there are. Different icons, different sensibilities about the meaning of “liberal”, etc But if the general “in the moment” feeling is a match nothing else really matters. 😁

Depending on the climate of my new home I would bring a guitar. If it’s a tropical zone I would buy one in country. Lol I don’t leave notes for co workers.. it would generally be a complaint about something to do with the work station being left in a mess so I go through the proper channels of mentioning to the Team Leader then Supervisor. Personal notes get taken as Passive/ Aggressive no matter how polite or well intentioned.

I don’t get scared easily anymore. Kinda grew out of that reaction to things. I suppose the last thing that was filled with trepidation was going to Ecuador in 2019. Both. But I didn’t really get into sweets until I stopped drinking alcohol and had to find a way to replace the sugars. I hit the candy bag hard for a couple of years but it’s been 5 1/2 years and the sugar craving has diminished a great deal. I love salt but I have no where near the same level of intake.

I’ve never been what I consider to be “bullied” but growing up in a small and somewhat isolated town there were times that after having a confrontation with a known aggressor I stayed home instead of taking the risk of meeting them on the street. This was between 1965-‘75.. so a different period of time when getting help wasn’t really an option. It’s a frightening and very uncomfortable place to live in. I really feel for people, young or old, who have difficulties with aggressive people in their lives.
