DenoPenno comments on Apr 14, 2020:
This is terrible and nothing we can do except shelter in place. The bad thing is that I've found 2 fake claims about the virus. 1. The first fake claim is from the show "It's Supernatural" where Sid Roth has a man on that claims god showed him all about it in great detail in a dream and it's a created virus by the Democrats to get rid of Donald Trump. 2. This second claim of 5G technology causing coronavirus is also to get rid of Trump and claims 5G is a direct virus cause for that purpose or it can weaken your immune system to where you get the infection. I suppose this came about because there are billions to be made in 5G and if America doesn't get the contracts then Huawei in China will. It's a shame in these tragic times that scammers spreading fake news will go this far to confuse everyone about a very serious worldwide infection. I find the too often COVID-19 WH updates to be equally as disturbing. Non-supported claims are made often.

Trumpers, smokers, and the religious are at the top of my list. Age doesn't bother me either way unless they have a stupid ridiculous laugh constantly going on. Going to the older ones I'm not getting off by talk that "my grandkid can beat up your grandkid" either. Even though I came out of religion I ended up smoking for right at 30 years. A non-smoker now for 20 years, I have to admit that cigarettes taste and smell repulsive. It would be damned hard for me to end up with a smoker or want to be involved with one.

Yes, the babble speaks of apostasy. As for "sinner" I remember a person who came to our church while I was a teenager. He had been in war and had killed people, but he really got into god and church. He could not forget his past and one day a good Christian found him drunk and crying outside the building. He was immediately told "you are nothing but a sinner and you will always be a sinner." Yes, I remember my church daze.

DenoPenno comments on Apr 13, 2020:
A person can use the cosmos to claim everything was made just right for us and try to claim a creator. These days I use things like my shoes. Animals do not have shoes and I have them, so they must have been made just for me. Once I understand how others all have different shoes with different sizes and all, I might have to change that idea into "many shoes." This would mean to me that a person using the "made for us" idea to explain a god should start believing in "many gods." Survival of the fittest explains it all on our planet. DNA, germs, us, other animals, etc. We cannot explain the universe. Beyond that we have evidence that the bible as we know it came into being some 300 years after Jesus. I put this together with the knowledge that we do not know everything and also cannot know everything. I cannot tell you how it all began.

Good luck to you. It isn't even rational to believe that a crucified man would be given a tomb, and especially when contemporary history of the time says nothing about him. That's right. No mention of poor Jesus from Romans or his own people. No mention of his name by anyone who lived in his timeline. No mention of anyone outside of the bible reference who was tried and crucified in this manner and the bible is not history. If a man was important enough to have an audience with Pilate, history on both sides should have said something. The reality is that Pilate most likely would not have cared and chances are he and Jesus could not speak the same language. Those that want you to believe in Jesus had to fabricate a story about why he died.

Thanks for this posting. You reminded me that all this courthouse posting of the Ten Commandments is really about Moses and not Jesus. He once wrote a short story called "The Giant Space Fuck" about shooting a rocket into outer space.
Where is the world going from here?
DenoPenno comments on Apr 13, 2020:
This virus will change many things forever but the religious will continue to believe their nonsense and think their invisible god got them through it all. As long as we have those who think the earth is only 6000 years old this will all continue. Once we get away from Evangelicals everyone else that believes will continue to think that bible stories tell us all about life even if they are allegories. The story of Passover is just one of these.

Sorry for your loss. Grieving is personal and does not have a timeline. Take as much time as you need and do not be pushed by others who want to define your grief. We are all different. I had a wife who died once and a boss who tried to tell me to "snap out of it." A few months later his own wife died in what was to have been a simple surgery. I think as I look back on all this it took me a few years to get back to normal again, if I ever did indeed get back to normal. Take all the time you need.

Esquire has an article by Charles P.
DenoPenno comments on Apr 12, 2020:
The desires of the current regime and those behind it are to get us all in control and have us all working for them. The current trend does not favor full-time employment as we had in the past. Instead there is some security in computer tech regions and almost zero security in other job markets that are mostly going part-time. This is because "we the people" have become the product. We will continue to produce for them if they give us all sorts of 5G gadgets and more. I've met people who claim they can have it all if they work 3 jobs. Some are trying it. This is Koch and Mercer insanity as currently administered through the Trump Administration. It cannot last and will not last but nobody knows how and when it will end.
Part of my indoctrination as a believer was that humans have souls and other creatures do not.
DenoPenno comments on Apr 12, 2020:
I do not think humans have souls, but rather I believe the bible saying that you became a living soul. All of us are living souls and we therefore can also become a dead soul. A "soul" is not something you have or possess, or was created or born with. It is not some magic invisible butterfly that instantly flies off to god when your body dies. You are the soul alive or dead. Thanks to Saul of Tarsus and a fear of dying this all got turned around and changed into utter nonsense. When you are dead you are dead. Now into modern believers claiming they have a soul and animals do not. This must be some statement against evolution because the believers think they are so much higher than the animals. They think they have souls and the animals do not, but spirit animals are all over the bible. In trying to answer your questions we have fear and cherry picking at their best and nobody facing reality. To go a step farther there are no gods and no heavens or Valhala.

Those wonderful Evangelicals know the answer to this one easily. God has so many different names and it is simply that all of these others do not know the true name of god. DenoPenno comments on Apr 10, 2020:
First to understand is that anyone can sue for any reason. It happens all the time. Can a family sue a church if a person went to a service and got covid? The person who got covid went voluntarily I suppose. Proving just when and where they got this infection would be hard to do. Maybe impossible. Can they sue the pastor? You can always sue somebody but the real issue here is does the church actually own the building. If not and they pay a landlord it would be in his best interest to lock and bar the doors in these bad times of covid so that he, the landlord, could not be sued later.

DenoPenno comments on Apr 10, 2020:
I think the Evangeloons ignore the real facts and cherry pick the bible and world events. Very often they are trying to line them up together and view world events as current history. Is a pink moon a blood moon, and is there really going to be a "falling away" caused by some world political leader who has supernatural powers? If you have to have "a mark" in order to buy and sell is that mark your social security number? Is the Devil really Jesus' brother like a Mormon told me? Did we all come from planet Kolob? In my mind the "falling away" came from critical thinking skills and not someone who deceived us. Deceit came through religion.
I was raised as a Christian and only recently became an atheist.
DenoPenno comments on Apr 10, 2020:
Instead of this approach try teaching your young children critical thinking. Do this through biblical talk as well as other ways. Trying to turn them is going to come back and bite you in the ass. Critical thinking religiously might involve asking them if certain things in the bible have ever happened before, and if they think it might happen again. Examples would be talking snakes, talking donkeys, bones of a prophet bringing the dead back to life, people unharmed inside a fiery furnace, etc. this approach can be a sort of bible study. In the end your children will have to make up their own minds. When I look back it was really my parents who decided I was going to be the greatest evangelist who ever lived. They did this after I showed an interest in god and religion. I'm sure this is a factor in my becoming atheist later on. It was a belief in nonsense that finally got me into real critical thinking. This happened because I investigated. Teach young children how to investigate.

DenoPenno comments on Apr 8, 2020:
I can agree with your every word. One of my long time friends that I met around age 12 or 13 remains religious and recently he was talking to me on how he is so comforted by reading in Daniel about the fiery furnace and those inside unhurt and untouched. I'm thinking it is time for that eye roll again. My mind asks how would anyone ever take this as being real in any way. I suppose it represents his belief that Jesus protects him. Again, my mind asks "in what way, and protection from what?" (Yes, friends. I attribute my well being to a doodilly do, or you can call it whatever you want to.) Meanwhile in FB again I find that Jesus and the Devil are arm wrestling and the ones that post it claim only true believers will re-post this on their page. DenoPenno comments on Apr 7, 2020:
Jesus claimed that he would not change "one jot or tittle" of the law. Modern believers claim that he abolished or "fulfilled" the law by his death and resurrection. Maybe they forgot that he was Jewish and not Baptist or Pentecostal. This is what now sets us free. His glorious sacrifice of himself. Let's try a new look. They wanted to explain why Jesus died. As for Easter and Passover keep in mind that these are religious holidays and they change from year to year on any known calender. This is a solid fact. Now tell me when Jesus died. What year was it? We have no idea when Jesus was born or when he died but believers will fight you tooth and nail and claim you are lying. In this time of COVID-19 it might be wise to put a little lamb's blood on your door post anyway.

Yada, yada, yada. No he didn't. Make you a bet his body stayed right here all the time and he never went anywhere. So much for Evangelicals and supernatural scammers in a world turned upside down today.
Teens charged with hate crimes for attacking a woman on a bus and saying she caused coronavirus, ...
DenoPenno comments on Apr 6, 2020:
I wish they could also charge the teens with assault, ignorance, and stupidity. Were the teens wearing a mask? Probably they were just bullying. Trump is causing this by what he says and allows in this hard time. People need to stop taking what he says as normal and call him out on it for every single incident of this kind. Why? Because it is not normal. He is promoting hatred and fear.
Why is this app called “Agnostic”?
DenoPenno comments on Apr 6, 2020:
God cannot be proven either way. Does or does not a god exist. No proof and nobody knows. As for me I'm an agnostic atheist. Some people want to post and argue those two terms forever and "have it their way." It comes up in our forums often. I stand my ground that there is no proof of any gods and if you have proof then you must present it. This has never been done with gods of any kind, and yes, this includes the Christian god.

The Selfish Gene. I understand this but some selfish genes might be needed along the way for survival. What we are seeing in the world today goes a little further than that. Nobody needs 10 yachts and all the other nonsense that goes with it, all to the detriment of others. I find no empathy or compassion. Years ago I was impressed with Carl Sagan's "The Demon Haunted World." I first read it as a religious believer but I could not put it down and agreed with it.
Found this on the web and had to share. HOw good is this one

The Americans defying Palm Sunday quarantines: "Satan's trying to keep us apart"
DenoPenno comments on Apr 5, 2020:
Many people's belief overrides their common sense. This is another example of god just not knowing how far Satan would go with this.
Is anyone else watching the new TV show "Unorthodox" on Netflix?
DenoPenno comments on Apr 5, 2020:
I have not watched it but I can identify. My opinion is that we have these type communities and others like Mormonism extremes that people claim we should avoid and yet, our population at large wants us all to be religious and "founded on religion" but it simply is not true. My religious friend now goes to a Baptist church where I'm sure he does not fall on the floor and flop around speaking in tongues but yet he thinks he is "right." He agrees with me on Evangelicals but that is where he came from. His opinions still have that typical Evangelical bias in almost every area. Religious evolution is often very slow and the current American regime wants to stop it and highjack religion to use against us. The new "cult" wants us to believe freedom of religion is why we came here and stop or prevent anything involving women or religious freedom.
This landed on me today.
DenoPenno comments on Apr 5, 2020:
Your last paragraph summed it all up beautifully. I've read a bit on SARS and how we got it, then how we had no cure or vaccine and it suddenly just stopped. I'm beginning to think we can view SARS-CO-2 which we call COVID-19 as a mutation maybe. I don't know and I'm not a scientist but this might mean SARS has returned and it is very scary. We need to take this very seriously because I'm not so sure we know very much about it yet and it is killing us.

If you wanna know if it's true just follow the Trump Tweets. They change often and even contradict each other. In my mind this totally defines the Orange Turd. in FB my relatives are posting on how I want to see Trump fail and they immediately start talking about other people. If you wanna see "Trump Fail" just look at all his failed businesses.
I just love how creative some people have gotten.

I'm just at home doing the things I normally do. others would be bored to death but I'm just trying to figure out their insanity. People are afraid of death and the religious are now showing that the worst as they want to claim this pandemic as Armageddon. My long time buddy knows it for sure coz his Buybull told him. LOL
A raging example of why I've had quite enough of all this religious BS.
DenoPenno comments on Apr 4, 2020:
OMG! Ate up, ate up. I only knew one of the ones who made me because I never did meet my real father. At least, not that I know of. Talking to god is not necessarily a good idea. Too many people already have voices in their heads. I can't believe that she wants you to talk to her god and then dictates what she wants you to tell him. My best guess is that she would feel so much better if both of you thought and believed the same. I have news! Both of you are different and separate people so this last one is impossible. It will never happen. How would you ever know if 2 people felt or believed the same? All you would know is that they seemed to band together in social settings.
Pentagon Orders All Installations to Stop Reporting COVID-19 Infections and Deaths The Pentagon ...
DenoPenno comments on Apr 4, 2020:
True. I don't see that the United States has helped one country yet with COVID-19. I'm still trying to figure out the Zumwalt destroyers part and I assume the captain who was relieved of his duties really wanted medical attention for his men. The Trump Pentagon makes it sound as if he gave out some strategic information that could jeopardize a peaceful mission or something. What I see in jeopardy is the future of a man who doesn't even have the ability to read a script the same way twice. The often COVID-19 updates that have so much conflicting information are an ego outreach of Trump's weekend rallies that he cannot do right now.
My mother keep on telling me that I should believe in Christ.
DenoPenno comments on Apr 4, 2020:
Similar treatment has resulted in my distancing myself from my parents who also decided that god had called me to preach. I view their interactions with me as a cause of much pain. Mom has been dead 14 years now and my stepdad is demented and in a nursing home. I last saw him well over a year ago.

DenoPenno comments on Apr 4, 2020:
Having a "near death" experience in no way means that anyone has died. Keep in mind also that the person having said experience never really went anywhere else.

Colorado AG steps in after Hobby Lobby defies COVID-19 stay-at-home order
DenoPenno comments on Apr 3, 2020:
It's all about the money, or it can also be about your religious death wish coming true. My religious friend thinks this is all in the book of Revelation and Hobby Lobby founders would agree with him even though there is nothing about our country in that book. Having to know helped infect them all with the death wish. They set back all full of "I told you so" hoping to see this happen. The end is near!

DenoPenno comments on Apr 3, 2020:
Who was Christ? Isn't this just a title? It is hard for me to hate a forever mythical personage just because someone declared that he was god. There are many different gods. I have studied the bible and read it through. The problem is that the older I got the more I discovered that I do not believe in any of these gods.
Its about time for the President's Press Cartoon.
DenoPenno comments on Apr 3, 2020:
Trump does this repeatedly as a "COVID-19" update but what is really going on is a substitute for his many rallies that he wants to do so badly. This is why Trump and the team contradict each other even in one broadcast update. It's almost hilarious. The problem is that lives are at stake. This morning on Dave Weinbaum's talk show I heard how it's the Democrats now putting out this false info about Trump and because of it he can't do his job. Surprise! He is not doing a good job. He can't stop lying even in these updates. Then Dave says he thinks this will all peak or blow over in the next 10 days. Surprise again! The virus will not peak in all areas at one time. This is just common sense and it could go on for many months. The last thing I heard this morning is that they want a "cure" and think we are going to get one. Let me know how that is working. Do we have cures for the common cold, flu, or SARS? No, but we have vaccines for them. If I get a yearly flu shot will it help me or not? This is all 50/50 but I take the gamble because I don't want the flu. There is so much that we do not know but SARS-CO-2 is COVID-19. It does not matter where or how this variant came into being except in the fact of trying to control it. Like the others, it will also mutate.

DenoPenno comments on Apr 3, 2020:
This song describes it for many of us. I view COVID-19 as the beginning of the New World Order. There is nothing about it that is religious but those behind it will use the religious to their own advantage. The outcome is more control and less freedom. You and I will have less freedom.
This is how a church should be. Your thoughts?
DenoPenno comments on Apr 3, 2020:
Glad you got something out of it and got to see old friends. As for me, the farther away from a church I am the better off I am. Farther along we'll know all about it Farther along we'll understand why Cheer up my brother live in the sunshine We'll understand it all by and by The old song is true. I no longer go to church because I am farther along than before. I no longer have a candle or a little light that is mine.
Spring allergies, a cold or COVID-19?
DenoPenno comments on Apr 3, 2020:
Thanks for your posting. This should help many of us because I think we are in times where we ask ourselves "do I have Covid-19." Probably not, but at least we remain aware. Sorry for your suffering.
