When I was studying for the ministry I thought I was smart. On the god question I always told myself it was a no brainer. All these older than me people had believed their entire lives, and they are smarter than me. Even today as an atheist I find all these theists who cannot betray the beliefs of their grandparents and every other believer in the past. I think that's why some of them hang onto it. Believers crack jokes about agnostics and atheists taking "logic classes." They write books like "The Atheist Who Wasn't There." **The big problem is their logic is flawed and the bible cannot be evidence of something. They don't get it. ** I have religious friends who keep trying to wrap daily worldwide events together with that book of Revelation to show how right the bible is. OK. Let's throw in the Easter Bunny and Casper the Friendly Ghost. Is he the Holy Ghost? I bet his sheet is worn out by now. They seem to miss the fact that imaginary and make believe creatures have no part in anything and they are stuck where they are because they have to have answers to everything. The bible is one big book that was made out of all the smaller books that were allowed. Many books were not allowed because the "miracles" were too bizarre. When it was decided to bind them all together it was done as a "beginning and an ending" thing. Presto! Believers now have all the answers. Even so, Revelation almost didn't make it. I just keep in mind today that if it wasn't for Adam and Eve living so long, a talking snake, (the serpent) and incest, there would be no need whatsoever for Jesus. Believers still think god had a perfect plan. Zeus, Thor, and others were left out in the cold.

This ex-con did not like police but was forced into working with them. A local cop followed him out of town on a low speed chase as he was wanted for questioning. Vehicles stopped and he gets out and is walking towards the local cop when he is shot 3 times. It's all on video. The cop said he "was in fear for his life."

Functional AI will be both good and bad. It will be a feature controlled by a "ruling class" that will help ride herd over all of us. The AI itself will be pleasant and helpful to mankind as a whole. I doubt seriously that they will be like in Westworld and walking around anytime soon, but that day will come also. AI beings will have to have equal rights to humans by law simply so developers can have legal redress on their development if someone destroys or harms it. As for getting along with an AI being I think they will develop a liking to some of us just like we both do and don not like others right now today.

Try not to look up many symptoms on the Internet because you might learn that you have cancer or even be pregnant if you are a male. Websites also try to track you if you look at something. I didn't know what peyronies disease was until recently. Once I looked it up and learned my browser was popping up sites talking about a cure. Leave me alone. I was only curious. My penis does not have a sharp curve in it, OK.

If I was going to go fishing (which I don't) I would use fresh white bread to make bait with. Otherwise I eat rye and wheat but not a lot of bread. I have bread around simply for the occasional sandwich. Bread is not a part of my daily plate.

This is almost useless. Nothing you see and hear is really about Trump. It's the Kock brothers and friends who have recently announced they are spending millions again so the GOP can keep the monopoly on power at the mid terms. Trump is simply the ILLUSION of the reality they want to create. The purpose is to distract you so you have no idea what is going on. IF Hillary had of won there would be at least another 4 years of regulations and EPA controls, etc. That would be a total of 12 years plus. it is cheaper for the Kocks, Mercers, et al to buy the GOP and control by oligarchy. Trump is the instrument here. It means that nobody cares about you, you water, healthcare, food, or anything else. The goal is to make a ruling class who is rich beyond measure with no regard for the rest of mankind.

They don't bother me and it's maybe because my grandparents were JW's by way of getting away from Baptists. The only problems I have with JW's is that when I talk to them they think I am agreeing with them. I am not. Are JW's a cult? About as much as any religion by denomination is a cult. Mainstream religions hate them because they deny the soul. This is so against the "fear of death" that dominates all other religions. Remember folks that gods are imaginary. It matters not if you want to put English language vowels in between JHVH to come up with a name or if you believe in Zeus or the Great Jollyjolly.

**Right you are! **At my work they are outlawed. Well, sort of. You are not allowed to carry them around with you but everyone does. Employees are also smiling and looking down at the damned things constantly with thumbs moving vigorously. If a customer comes in the employee straightens up quickly to ask if they can help him. I actually have seen people strap the left hand to a steering wheel of a car and have the cell phone in it. This explains the near accidents and nonsense I see almost daily as a delivery driver. The movie "American Sniper" had the ever present cell phone in it and a phone would ring from home at the most awkward of times. I just knew this had to be a glitch in the reality of the movie, so I asked present active Army personnel about it. They told me it was true but this is **NOT a** cell phone!** DUH! What the hell is going on? Then people tell me that I talk too much.

Very true. I might add that you are free to choose but not every person has that same set of things to choose from. It all depends on your background and your upbringing, economic situation, etc. This goes along nicely with free will being an illusion. Choice is a very complex situation.

I agree, and as ex-military it scares me. Not that I was ever in live combat but I was always around and being trained for such an event if need be. To this day I duck and/or jump when I hear sounds that might be gunfire. Fireworks is one of them.

My doctors don't understand this. They love my readings and my blood work but for things they don't understand I'm offered the same old tests that we have ran before. I asked my primary if she actually thought there might be different results. **That's insanity.** These days I take more naps. The nurse called me one time because they did not understand my tryglycerides. I explained it in a sentence. I told her I take their medicines and eat and drink what I want to. :)
