It is up to you to make your life meaningful. Life has to be meaningful to you and gods or religion has nothing to do with it. My life makes me happy and that is what counts to me. At 72 I'm still 18 to 22 inside and do the same old things I always did. Computer is the new addition to this, but my computer helps me with movies, TV, music, etc. and has for the last 20 years. I love my "meaningful life" but it might bore you to tears.

Why would anybody want to worship something "forever and ever?" If this is your god he is an egotistical prick. Imagine him as a ham sandwich or a good steak dinner. Maybe your favorite vegetarian meal. Wouldn't it all get old after about the first 10,000 years? As for "unanswered questions" what if your god who has always existed was the universe which has always existed in one form or another. We are indeed "star stuff" as Carl Sagan said but I find no reason here to be worshiping the universe. What is, is. It doesn't have to mean anything unless you are solving a crime. Clouds do not "look like Jesus" and there are not any invisible men in the sky. If your god was in another universe or dimension you would have no way of knowing this and certainly no way of proving it. Modern apologists do this in order to "protect" their god from close scrutiny.

Religious ideas of any kind no longer affect me. Maybe it's because I've been away from religion for well over 40 years. I will say that when you first get away from religion and no longer believe it, you will still "believe in your own way." This is a mechanism whereby you still want to fit in some way. My kids are like this now. Be aware that it is this sort of thinking that caused so many denominations worldwide. Everyone claims "one faith" but it is a myth.

It does have merit. To remember your dreams you have to ask yourself "what did I dream" within the first 15 minutes of waking. If you do not do this you will not remember. Dreams are normally anxiety and a mixture of unfinished business. A distorted view of what is on your mind. You may have thoughts of freedom, fear, etc. mixed into them in some way. I monitor my dreams and they almost always fit in with my daily life and how it is going, OR my daily life and how I would like it to be. You can learn from dreams but you must remember they are fantasy. Why are you dreaming? It's because your mind is partially awake. Early man could not separate the dream state from the waking state and stories of gods were invented. In the bible Paul had many "visions" but he could not tell "whether he was in or out of the body." You can thank Paul for "soul belief" being a big part of Christianity.

There really isn't much difference. Agnostics are all freethinkers. If you are an atheist and make the claim that there are **absolutely no gods**, then you have placed the burden of proof upon yourself. I no longer believe in gods of any kind but the subject cannot be proven either way, for or against. Do gods exist? On a scale of 1 to 10 my disbelief goes up to about a 9 even though I studied for the ministry in earlier life. We have no evidence of gods and "holy writings" prove nothing.

I used to think that my random acts of kindness got me in good graces with an imaginary being. All I know for sure is that animals like me, and that includes almost all dogs and cats. In Kenya in 2004 I noticed that all Ostriches were fascinated by me and wanted to follow me around. Later I saw this same effect at the St. Louis zoo. I guess I'm Ostrich Man. :)

Just the other day a man approached me outside my work and wanted money because he had ran out of gas. I told him I had nothing to give coz I'm on social security and work this 3 hour a day job to help me get by. What I wanted to say was "dammit, can't you read a frigging gas gauge?"

When I was a younger man and believed in god I also believed in ghosts and everything supernatural. Why not? God is supernatural. I've had many experiences in my lifetime and could tell you a lot of stories about them. However, the more time goes on and the older I get I am more able to explain these experiences away when I have them. Here's a simple one on deja vue. Sometimes my phone will ring and I think this has happened before.

Effectively it all becomes a haven for dark money and protecting it and keeping it secret. Doing so should be illegal but a move was made recently to legally protect sources of dark money.

There is always some religious mysticism to control what people do and think and they claim it "says so in the bibble." Having studied that book, at least enough to misspell it, I have others wanting to get me going abut Hawaii's volcanoes and various other crap happening worldwide. It's nonsense. A book of nonsense. Currently the powers that be are using Donald Trump as an instrument as they desire to turn America into a** theocracy**. Apparently the rich want to get richer and have everyone feel justified for it. For many years to come they will continue to send us "thoughts and prayers" at needed times while we continue to believe it's all god's will.

A lot of them are all the same. I once knew a man who thought himself a preacher and a prophet. Both of us at that time were in a cult-like group that was THE true religion. When I left he stayed because he wanted to be a preacher and a profit.
