A trip to my mailbox today produced extreme right wing political literature. A careful look at it produced the following names: The Heritage Foundation One Nation America Org. Fox News These are some of the people behind Trump and company and they include the Kock brothers, Mercers, DeVos family, David Green, and many others. These are people that want Kavanaugh at any cost, a wall to keep out immigrants, and an end to sanctuary cities, etc. They have a political agenda that would make Hitler proud and many of their projects are backed by 1.5 million dollars or more. All I did was go to the One Nation website and browse around to get the current agenda to see what's going on. Of course the names I listed are not on the website but I've done my homework from before. These people mean business and they are terribly wrong. That makes Morales spot on when he says "the United States could not care less about human rights or justice."

Members should be able to express their opinions but what you call "hate speak" about Trump may not be so. I would not go across the street to see or hear this POTUS who so far has topped 6000 plus lies in 2 years. How do I know? I fact check. You can too if you care enough. Everything is out there and recorded. You may choose to believe the "real truth and real news" was never around until Trump arrived in politics. This makes me wonder where the "wonder man" gets his facts. He tweets me to death and I just wish he would shut the fuck up! His defenders claim his tweets are fine and this technology was not around with previous presidents. This makes me laugh a little. It seems now that Trump and his swamp want to sue the media to get "fairness" of their views out there. This disturbs me because one such conservative supporter has attacked me on another site where I use this same name as "not being a citizen." The man is college educated and he says this while I was born here. Is this the type of "fairness" that you want to start seeing? I hope not. As far as administrators of this site or any other site I think they can do as they want to when it is their site. Possibly they do not want a situation where they have to give "equal time" to views not supported by facts. If anything at all makes this premise change then you no longer live in the America that I know. I happen to not support every "letter to the editor" needing to be printed. Media should be able to pick and choose.

Wake up, look around yourself, and ask where you might have seen this sort of thing before. Is there perhaps examples of this from world history in our past, and did that all have a happy ending. I have no mortgage worries, etc. because for many months before retiring I was able to save a thousand a month. I am frugal but I basically am able to do what I want. Others that I know simply spend money. I have job enough to help me maintain mine.

I agree with you, Becca. I used to have few friends and lots of associates. Today the associates are becoming fewer. So is the friend list. I believe that once you go the atheist path this sort of thing will happen unless you have some sort of community to share things. For us this site may serve that way. For many others it keeps them in church attendance. It would be surprising to find that many in church haven't believed in several years, but it may be so. I would love to find secular community somewhere and it's the only thing I can recommend to battle the isolation.

I patched a hole in my porch roof. It's a metal roof like on the metal buildings but something fell from a tree and went through it. OK for now, but I'll finish it in a couple of weeks. Bad mailman. In my case when I lived in the Houston area I was in a small trailer park of 7 units. I noticed no mail for about 2 weeks and called the Post Office. Yes, I had mail they said but it was not delivered because I did not have a mailbox in front of my place. That's what the new mailman said. I had to inform them this was correct. All 7 mailboxes were of the key type setting together at the front of the park. Then I asked them if the new mailman was blind. Next, all my mail came as usual again.

The idea would be to delay until after the election with hopes that you gain some control again so as to prevent a man form getting into a lifetime Supreme Court position. Kavanaugh says Roe v. Wade is "settled law" but nobody trusts that. Kavanaugh could also render a vote that would decide that Trump could "pardon himself" and this certainly was not true in 1974. In Germany I found many dead "saints" embalmed and in glass cases in old churches. Of course, the locals deny that any embalming takes place, but like they do for Lenin on display in Russia, they have to keep them looking presentable. Playing of the anthem at games was a request of our government to keep young men interested in joining the Armed Forces. I'm ex military and not opposed to taking a knee. **What is missing here** is why they take a knee. It saddens me that there is such a double standard between the genders, the group think, and the enabling behavior. IT MIGHT BE SOMETHING ELSE ENTIRELY Well posted, linxminx, but this just might be all about **people control** instead of genders and enabling. As such it has everything to do with group think. Anyone remember the Facebook meme with Jesus and the Devil arm wrestling? Later there was one with Hillary and Donald arm wrestling and Hillary had taken the place of the Devil. These were out prior to the last election and similar things led to cries of Russian meddling. Facebook has been to Congress and since then has made some changes, but I have less functionality in Facebook now. What I do notice is that political subjects are bombarded by troll comments that come from sources not so easily nailed down. This goes beyond the "cutesy" level that so many of us would use anyway. Many of the comments are false and not backed by evidence. The person posting cannot be traced, or if you do trace them they are vaguely listed and they become invisible days later. This is like a series of "missed calls" on your phone that suddenly are not working numbers only minutes later. What's going on with the phones is somebody wanting your information. What goes on in Facebook and You Tube is that someone wants your money and your vote. **Yes, they will even lie to get it.** Tactics of "Russian meddling" were in place before the election and so much more so even now. Imagine someone spending millions to get your dollar and tell you how to vote. Imagine billionaire business interests running agencies to do this and you see behind the false information. Advertising has always been about people control but today we have stepped into 1984. The difference is that it came a bit late.
