My parents got me into religion around the age of 12 or 13. This was because they were confused on just what happened to my sister who never made it home from the hospital after birth. Where was Debbie? Before that the bible was just stories. I'm the type of person who has to know everything, so soon I began studying for the ministry. I'm also researching anything supernatural. Religious history, other religions, and religious fallacies came into play as well. My journey took a few years but I learned that we do not know everything. Logic and evidence mean everything. He is atheist and suggested that "I might be a bigot." I knew immediately this was because his S. O. is trans. Later he un-friended me using the idea that I do not like his FB snake posts. This has to do with the orbit and tilt of the earth. In my area the hottest so far was 103 degrees and today we were low 90's. This is normal for summer and I'm good til 80 degrees. Inside I use ceiling fans and Lasko Wind Machines to get that cool breeze feeling with the temp set on 77 degrees. The new electric bill is $82 and my place is all electric.

Now as to the 4th of July, I did not celebrate. Fireworks are noisy and expensive and they make me nervous. As for the meal of the 4th, I had hot dogs with mustard and baked potatoes. This was after drinking a few Zwikle and Boston Lager beers while watching old classic western films on TV using my Firestick 4k and Tubi apps. I have had my Independence the entire 77 years of my life and do not give a damn about fireworks now as an adult. I do not want to see a fireworks show or to watch them. Good programs on Tubi and they are free but you would have to use a VPN and set it to USA to be able to watch them. I watch anything I want all over the world.

In my area the grass is browning out and there may not be a fireworks show because of it. Even so, my neighbor got out her mower yesterday and mowed her 2 ditches. I think I know why. She pumped the self-propelled lever about 20 times before she started the mower. I think she thought she was priming the damned thing. :)

The cross should come down without question. It is a symbol of Christian supremacy in the worst form and it may not be a proper symbol of the time it is said to represent. Ask Dan Barker of FFRF. He will tell you that the original translations called this a "torture stake." Apparently the Catholic Church is responsible for the image we have of it today as a cross often worn on a chain around one's neck or used in any other combination. This image would serve the veneration of objects that they like so well. It would be hard to imagine a movie called "The Sign of the Torture Stake." :) In my church dayz people would make dumb statements on how much Jesus loved you, then hold their arms out like they were on a cross and say "he loved you this much." This does not fly well on a stake or an X. Maybe you could do the X and be a jumping jack. Who knows? Jesus was not the only crucified savior. I have a long out of print book claiming their were 16 of them. Believers know that only Jesus is the one that counts. This situation becomes laughable until you become aware of films showing kids crying with their arms up in the air and "after school clubs" in which kids are persuaded they are going to hell without Jesus. Catch 'em young and mold them in the way they should go. This mockery should end everywhere. Crosses should come down and "In God We Trust" should come off our court houses and police cars. There should be no Christian Nationalism or Supremacy.
