Once properly tempered in the oven they do a wonderful job. A little cooking oil in them and they are non-stick. Cleaning is easy with just a paper towel. The reason for 2 skillets is that I swap them from time to time just so they stay oiled and therefore will not rust.

That's not so bad at all. I did our divorce because my wife did not want to go to court, so I represented both of us. She signed to allow me to do this in lieu of $15,000. In the end we each kept what was ours without anything else changing hands. Our property was decided when we split up so we had no arguments there. We are still friends to this day but I live in Missouri and she lives in Dallas.

Anything for a dollar. In my area the local funeral home is now offering this along with burying your pet in similar ways as to how they bury humans. I am friends with the owner but he is Christian and knows that I am atheist. He once told me he did not have enough faith to be atheist.

My take on DeSantis is that he is listening to and believing some extreme right wing stuff, possibly going on into parts of Q-Anon. I say this because right wing people are telling me stupid things every day about Dems trying to get gender change medicine and even operations for young school kids under the age of consent. I do not believe this for one minute and it certainly will not help DeSantis if he runs for president. Teachers are placed right in the middle of all this nonsense. Now let's look at some logical truth here. Teachers are not indoctrinating children but Republicans are using a political spin to indoctrinate others so they will choose one political party over another. That is what all of this is about. It was hard to claim that one side eats babies so this is what we have now. The stupidity is mind boggling. Maybe DeSantis wants to be a Florida god, or maybe he thinks all of this could help him beat Trump. Who knows?

As a Missourian I am totally aware of our hate and hate groups. The majority here are Republicans and of the Trump crowd. I work with lots of these people. Recently I heard a 38 year old mechanic claim Trump is the greatest president we have ever had. Is it job security? He works for a Trump supporter. Going back in time a bit, I recall one such supporter claiming that 5G is how they turn on and off the Covid virus and that is why people are tearing down 5G towers. We have 5G now with no complaints and nobody was smart enough to see that the entire clamor over it was to help silicon valley and dis China. As far as anti LGBTQ and Christian nationalists, we have that too. Still some anti blacks here but that is changing. Years ago everyone was concerned that blacks were wanting to "live next door to you." I put that to the test when her and I lived in the same house. :) In the 1970's we even had a KKK head cop but he is dead now and time moves on. Still lots of racism.
