But if your point is that at least one of these people made hundreds of thousands of dollars after lying, I suppose you are correct. But another question is, who had more to lose by telling the truth? Most of the money raised was spent on legal fees for both sides and there is no proof that Ford took a million dollar book or movie deal. Now ask yourself what such a high dollar deal for Ford or Kavanaugh would prove or bring out that we do not already know? Would any such deal change the opinions or the outcome? Yes there was and it was the first time Trump wanted to make a big deal out of people crossing our border. No big event at the time but Trump called it as so and later his base looked at it again thinking just maybe Trump was right. He called out the National Guard. What better timing for Trump to be right again and prove he is strong on defending our borders than right before the mid term elections in November. The problem with prayer in the public schools is that I'm from that era and all I remember is "those that want to can now have one minute of silent prayer." That's it. Done. Of course, people I went to school with seem to have been encouraged to think it was so much more than this. It was not, and it's their continued church going that has convinced them otherwise.
