When you tell a lie it is because you know in your mind that you are lying. Telling an un-truth is another matter. Most of us know when we are not telling the truth. By this logic you know that when Charlie tells you he has pixies living in his shoes or that there is an invisible man watching you in the sky, Charlie is either: 1. Indoctrinated early on into his belief or decided it was true because he has always heard it is true. OR 2. Charlie is as crazy as a loon. This last idea is an expression as I'm not sure loons (birds) are crazy. It may also go back to the word "lunatic" which involves asylums or the moon having something to do with ones beliefs.

I avoid cemeteries and funerals if I can. My mother has now been dead 14 years and I think I went to her grave 2 or 3 times. I forget what times they were, but nothing recently. Before he went into the nursing home my stepdad said I needed to visit mom's grave more often. I denied that I did and suggested maybe he needed to visit her grave more often.

I like Tyson and I appreciate his knowledge but there is lots of this that I cannot buy. For us to get down to ideas of a matrix and a simulation it would appear to be something coming out of a computer age or a sci fi story. It could be anything. People are stupid and gullible. As for hand sanitizers simply try washing your hands using 2 drops of Dawn after you have got the hands wet, then work that into a small lather. Rinse and you are done. This is affective and you do not need alcohol. I was in the license renewal office today and saw people frantically using hand sanitizers for the most simple and crazy reasons. Nobody wants to get sick and die but this is insanity! As for toilet paper and paper towels, I probably have a 3 month supply right now. I normally only have 4 packs of each (or even less) but the panic buying has caused me to react this way. I hate it and the business love it. They are all over monthly quotas for the next 2 months because of this craziness. I've been lucky enough to keep my normal supply of food. Avoid the Q-Anon infodemic going on right now. There is no truth in it at all. You have to look that one up, but it is some of this fear that is keeping the gullible going and it might be causing many to go insane! Wise up and prove all things. Use logic not pandemic.

Informative article from Vice here. I have only recently become aware of Q-anon and all their nonsense along with those who believe it. Way too many believe it. Yesterday at a local license bureau that had recently re-opened, I stopped by in uniform to see their hours. A line had formed outside and I asked a question or two of the 9 people there in the line. Since they were limiting people inside the building I wanted to get an idea of how long it might take and how long others had been in the line. A woman spoke up and told me "The Democrats want Socialism and it looks to me like they are going to get it." She thought her response would explain lines, viruses, sheltering in place, distancing, etc. I replied that I see her concern but my take on it all is this is what the current GOP wants and it is a different type of Socialism that we have all seen before. A few there agreed with me and shook their heads as I got into Q-anon tactics and beliefs. Being in uniform and working right up the street from that office either appeared to give me more authority, or in the end it might even put my job at risk. I do not care and could not help it. I think people need to know the truth and Q-anon is not part of it.

The only time religion worked in my favor was when I first got my ex here and we were both going to church at the time. Cultural differences that we had caused many arguments. In desperation I went to the minister who had been trained in psychology. He talked to my wife privately and solved the problem every time. I feel drained by many things but I don't miss church or religion. I'm aware at 73 that it most likely means I will live out the rest of my life alone but I will not tolerate nonsense of any kind. I look on my past sometimes but do not want to repeat it.

Recently someone posted about getting an inordinant amount of religious feeds on their FaceBook.

The biggest nonsense I see today is that so many want to claim COVID-19 is not real and is all about trying to take down an American president. Somehow the entire world is affected by this and it involves the two major American political parties. Fox news told them so. How in the hell could anybody pull this off and what would be the purpose? People should please not flatter themselves. A lot of what we are hearing is sidelines of politics on "who will get the billions in 5G technology?" Rather than deal with it honestly a story is built around the virus to direct us away from anything having to do with China. Nobody is working together to get rid of the virus like they should be. Virus doubters now claim that almost all deaths are attributed to the virus just so institutions and hospitals can get money. If you believe all that hype you might end up with the virus. Some people are too dumb to follow instructions. Others in high places enjoy telling tall tales.

Johnny was my hero. I found it inspiring that he often made it in the news again as breaking his own swimming records set from an earlier time. In later life he fell and broke his hip. He never fully recovered from that. He was buried in Mexico and lowered into his grave after they played the famous Tarzan yell 3 times. This was an invention of other sounds and also Johnny's voice blended into one cry. It was used in a majority of his Tarzan movies.

Mental health issues are always a challenge. It gets worse when children ask if the parents breaking up was really their fault. Of course it is not. If parents try to use the children against each other it creates stress and mental health issues in the children. I hope that is not going on in your case in any way. Are people daydreaming and are we in our right minds? COVID-19 is similar to the flu in many ways. Are we building up immunity to the flu and are there vaccinations to "cure" it? No. Why do we think we can get a coronavirus "cure?" Chances are that the virus will be back regardless of what we do. I don't think this thing works the same way VD does.

I think the definition of religion should be expanded.

I have no need of religion of any kind. As for being "spiritual" in any way this can be anything you want it to be. It might be "spiritual" for you to sit and watch the ocean but the term you are using still came out of someone's holy book. What basic spiritual need is it that we have? This is all delusion. Many people want to be happy having this delusion but they also cannot be honest with themselves.

I'm lonely and** not** loving it. I should love it because I am doing the things I love to do but I was used to doing them knowing that others (or at least one other) were around somewhere. My mind said that I'm doing what I like and they are too. Sometimes we would talk and do things together but not 24/7. In the end I found I have deceived myself. This "perfect state" was destroyed by everything having to be about them. They were not loving it and wanted my head up their ass all the time. Being equal was not enough for them. Safe when used correctly. How would that be? It seems plain to many of us that Monsanto and others want you to be totally dependent on them. They want farmers to be totally dependent on them, and so much so that they would end up being the only ones with seeds. Farmers would have "seedless crops" as much as possible. Then there are the reverse suits I've heard of where Monsanto wants to sue the farmer for contamination when it was totally the other way around. No, chemicals are not the answer.

I'm picky even at my age. I'm very leery of any woman who lives in her grandkids so much so that her grandkids can beat up my grandkids. I'm equally the same with women who have a god that can do this or maybe even beat up me. Most likely I'm not going to meet a good woman at the local atheist group coz we do not have one here. My never give up friend tells me my best chance is to meet a woman in church. Wow! If that happened and I wanted to be with someone so badly I could become converted again. Sounds like a poor plan to me.
