Virginity: Atheist vs. Agnostic vs. Deist vs. Born Again
DenoPenno comments on May 3, 2020:
I'm out of context here but I have never found any real value in a virgin. Some might compare her to a full bottle of new wine and use the illustration that you would not be pleased if some of the wine is missing. Only men smile with this. I'm back where I started with this. Nothing is gone or used up. She's a woman and not a bottle of wine. I still find no value in a virgin.
Talking dirty. De-stigmatizing sex talk [youtu.be]
DenoPenno comments on May 2, 2020:
My view on talking dirty during sex is that I think it came about by others being told at a young age that sex was dirty. My opinion is that it never should be and I will never call you names. I also have a perfect safe word for sex games. It is called "stop."

Why Religion Is Not Going Away and Science Will Not Destroy It
DenoPenno comments on May 2, 2020:
If religion did go away some idiot would bring it back. Maybe it would just take another form. Everybody knows that 2 aspirin will work for a headache but some people have to take 3, 4, or 6. What does this mean? It means that people just keep lying. I want you to know that the juju helped me and I know it personally. My juju is stronger than your juju.
Religion can heal and harm. We've seen both during the pandemic - CNN
DenoPenno comments on May 2, 2020:
The only time religion worked in my favor was when I first got my ex here and we were both going to church at the time. Cultural differences that we had caused many arguments. In desperation I went to the minister who had been trained in psychology. He talked to my wife privately and solved the problem every time. He did not recommend divorce nor recommend that either of us drink poison. The book of Mark was not involved here, but I'm not sure how it would have went with the coronavirus.

Trump's response to the Covid-19 pandemic is "a great success story." - - Jared Kushner
DenoPenno comments on May 1, 2020:
I meet people every day that claim this COVID-19 was engineered to kill off the "old people." It does no good to ask them why it also kills 5 year olds and many others of any age, and it also kills those in the country of its creation. They don't get it. ** *Covid-19 simply happened. The how of this is not important*. What is important is that billions of dollars** are at stake in the new 5G technology. Bill Gates thinks China should get the contracts. The liar Trump wants to "level the playing field" so America gets the contracts. **Billions are at stake here.**

I asked him to please explain how you would have a worldwide hoax of this nature. He cannot explain, of course, but you can bet he watched Fox News.
This is why some Christian's are looked upon with such disdain.
DenoPenno comments on May 1, 2020:
The "pass" on your workplace ethics in this issue is most likely that the manager is also a Christian. Even if they are not actively going to any church at this time it would make that person lean towards the area of biblical teaching as they know it. This means your complaint has fallen on deaf ears. Imagine now the more realistic concept that marriage as we know it today did not come about until the Middle Ages. Nobody in ancient times had a legal certificate or paid some fee to the state. Being married had a ceremony then but this was more for the locals to understand who was married and who was not. If you want to you can throw in the sky fairy. :)
Happy Thursday! What are/were your most important rules when going on a date?
DenoPenno comments on Apr 30, 2020:
i do very little dating but it can get tricky. I once had a dinner date with a woman I had not seen in 20 years. We had little in common except being in a group years ago. It was never to be repeated as I had nothing good to say about a man she had secretly had 2 kids with. I learned this last part much later. They were known officially as only "friends." LOL

The opening is religious bullshit. A person needs to realize that they are not alive "looking for their god" and if they could not find him or have him being alive meant nothing. This sounds like a kid throwing a fit for an ice cream cone. A person makes their own purpose in life by doing and following what they want to do.

Religion was destroyed! By whom?
DenoPenno comments on Apr 28, 2020:
Reagan did not destroy religion. He destroyed the power of unions and invented "trickle down" economics. He ran the country as a Republic and started some of this nonsense we see today. It got to the point of 2020 and Trump through Libertarians who finally realized they only had a chance by "buying into" the GOP. Thank Charles Koch and the others for that. I personally do not wish them well. They do not care about you, your healthcare, food, water, well being, or anything else about you. I think the goal is to turn America back into what it was in 1900. As for abortion, if you are controlling everything like I have said above you certainly want to have control of a woman's body. Once a child is born you abandon it totally, but you fear momma could have aborted you. A right wing man I know well once told me "you have no idea how many abortions some of these women have had." I didn't say it but wanted to say "that's right, Bub, and neither do you."

DenoPenno comments on Apr 26, 2020:
The biggest nonsense I see today is that so many want to claim COVID-19 is not real and is all about trying to take down an American president. Somehow the entire world is affected by this and it involves the two major American political parties. Fox news told them so. How in the hell could anybody pull this off and what would be the purpose? People should please not flatter themselves. A lot of what we are hearing is sidelines of politics on "who will get the billions in 5G technology?" Rather than deal with it honestly a story is built around the virus to direct us away from anything having to do with China. Nobody is working together to get rid of the virus like they should be. Virus doubters now claim that almost all deaths are attributed to the virus just so institutions and hospitals can get money. If you believe all that hype you might end up with the virus. Some people are too dumb to follow instructions. Others in high places enjoy telling tall tales.

This was an invention of other sounds and also Johnny's voice blended into one cry. It was used in a majority of his Tarzan movies.

A different perspective; Is the fight against COVID19 worse than the disease?
DenoPenno comments on Apr 26, 2020:
Are people daydreaming and are we in our right minds? COVID-19 is similar to the flu in many ways. Are we building up immunity to the flu and are there vaccinations to "cure" it? No. Why do we think we can get a coronavirus "cure?" Chances are that the virus will be back regardless of what we do. I don't think this thing works the same way VD does.
I think the definition of religion should be expanded.
DenoPenno comments on Apr 26, 2020:
I have no need of religion of any kind. As for being "spiritual" in any way this can be anything you want it to be. It might be "spiritual" for you to sit and watch the ocean but the term you are using still came out of someone's holy book. What basic spiritual need is it that we have? This is all delusion. Many people want to be happy having this delusion but they also cannot be honest with themselves.

I'm lonely and** not** loving it. I should love it because I am doing the things I love to do but I was used to doing them knowing that others (or at least one other) were around somewhere. My mind said that I'm doing what I like and they are too. Sometimes we would talk and do things together but not 24/7. In the end I found I have deceived myself. This "perfect state" was destroyed by everything having to be about them. They were not loving it and wanted my head up their ass all the time. Being equal was not enough for them. Apparently it never was. This is more or less the story of my life. Apparently I cannot give enough.

Safe when used correctly. How would that be? It seems plain to many of us that Monsanto and others want you to be totally dependent on them. They want farmers to be totally dependent on them, and so much so that they would end up being the only ones with seeds. Farmers would have "seedless crops" as much as possible. Then there are the reverse suits I've heard of where Monsanto wants to sue the farmer for contamination when it was totally the other way around. No, chemicals are not the answer.

My never give up friend tells me my best chance is to meet a woman in church. Wow! If that happened and I wanted to be with someone so badly I could become converted again. Sounds like a poor plan to me.

Since you are from the land down under I'm going to suggest that some of this you are reporting is very similar to what we get in the U. S. from Trumpers and Fox News. I've heard of some of it but I cannot be convinced of wrong doing by WHO, the World Bank, CDC or even Bill Gates who has become a right wing target. What I am convinced of is that none of these mentioned are in particular alignment with conservatives or Donald Trump. Media is falling into a big trap right now. Even good media is reporting a one sided issue that came to them out of some gossip and they say later they wanted to report "both sides" but could not find anyone of the other viewpoint. This is because Trump and his right wing cronies are starting to be taken as normal. They are not normal and there was not another "side" to present. What goes on today is not Ronald Reagan politics. Shame on the media.
I’m an atheist but I want to ask a serious question.
DenoPenno comments on Apr 23, 2020:
**I use the word god** or maybe gods when I think those words refer to what another person is talking about, or to answer something in some sort of religious concept. The word "god" is not really a name and I have no other use for the name. I'm not sure why some people can only say "dog" and reverse the word. This is dumb to me but I do recall as a young person when we would swear openly by saying "mad dog backwards." (Nobody ever got that one. ) **Religion** is a belief system that has a set of rules and rituals to it. ** Church** is the building which houses the believers of a religion today but in early times the church was the people.

I see your viewpoint fully but the media does not follow up on things like this and do the reporting that you did just now for all of us. Instead, media takes the words of the hospital CEO as truth and if you call them on it they claim they needed a view from "the other side" to be fair - but there was no other side. It makes me want to ask home dumb media is today. This is all similar to people who cannot afford their own healthcare but they remain against healthcare for all. Americans remain against their own best interests in a bath of bad politics.

How many of you feel religion negatively impacted your formative years?
DenoPenno comments on Apr 22, 2020:
Of course it did. I only heard bible stories and the like for a long while, then my parents got into church and got me interested and I was filled with lies. All lies, and nothing but lies. Today I am pissed off at those who immediately ask me "how do you think we all got here then?" If I tell them their god used incest to get the earth populated the believers want to claim people lived so long in those days that god's perfect plan was not really incest, etc., etc. They forget that their god used incest twice to populate and re-populate. I suppose this is some set up to claim why we really need god in the first place. Yeah, I was negatively impacted and lied to bigtime. Many of my religious friends today claim they just do not see this and do not know why I feel this way. This is also the reason I do not have many friends. I will not stay quiet about this when people start in about their "loving god."

DenoPenno comments on Apr 21, 2020:
Facebook algorithms are crazy. Recently they flagged me for doing a copy and paste to deliver the same answers and said that was not allowed. I protested by asking why they could continually show me the same things over and over again and claimed it was normal for me to have some of the same answers. Nothing more became of it, and I continue as before. I'm not seeing church ads however. I do see more religious stuff because of COVID-19 and I get upsets if I post my truth to them. People are simply convinced the biblical "end" is here. What about "the end" according to other writings? One thing I do see much more of now is gambling. It's like slot machine casinos have taken over my Facebook feed. I click on the "like" for them and give them all a "ha ha ha." Maybe that's what keeps them coming. I never tell Facebook what I like or do not like nor what I want to see, etc.
Raising your children without religious influence
DenoPenno comments on Apr 21, 2020:
You did right. The problem here in reactions you get when the truth of raising comes out is that those reactions are coming from people who have read in their holy book that you should "raise up a child in the way he should go and in the end he will not depart from it." The difference is that you did this without religion and they believe their holy book was saying it about their god and religion. This is why so many children are indoctrinated.
What do you/people think about China's role in this epidemic?
DenoPenno comments on Apr 21, 2020:
If you listen to those who do not know and spread rumor for their own purposes you find a claim that China did this deliberately and created the virus in a lab for some reason. It's either as a weapon or to take down Trump and gain the billions of dollars in the 5G technology. Take this a step further and the Dems created the virus to take down Trump because impeachment did not work. Carry that on into Sid Roth and his show "It's Supernatural" and you find a man who claims god revealed all this to him in a dream. The script was read well. Shame on you, Sid. There is very little truth about COVID-19. We simply do not know. SARS-CO-1 before it came on the scene in 2002 and then was gone by 2004. We knew very little about it also.

I don't think they will or can do it. The DNC is committed to business as usual. They need to back off and see how this worked out in our last election. It did not work for them and I think since both parties have taken money from those at the top who lobby for control they are afraid to speak of Trump the way he really is. If they do so it would seem to attract progressives and that is the last thing the Democrats want. Therefore, they will continue to want "business as usual." They are defeated because they cannot allow their politics to be as dirty as Trump and his GOP.

The religious think they are "pious" and the non-believers seem to be going out of their way to claim they are the same. Your morality comes from your society at the time frame you are in and societal standards are not universal. A modern bathing suit is a great shock to someone from 1920. In some societies sex before marriage is desired. i view a worldwide picture on this issue and not a moral compass.

My best tip is to avoid texting and "hangouts" that dating scammers try to coax you into. People at any age should understand that words on a screen mean nothing and real people wanting to date will talk together on a phone. Try imagining if I had of flown to Africa to meet me now ex on the basis of texting. How do you think that would have worked out for me?

The OT god was a tribal god and so many keep trying to piece both testaments together. It only works if you ignore things and cherry pick verses. The bible is as much hearsay as the writings of Nostradamus. Without dates you can make the verses say anything you want them to say.

I believe deeply in your very last paragraph. The current regime will not work and neither does "business as usual."
I had a group of friends in high school that I hung out with.
DenoPenno comments on Apr 19, 2020:
Whether you are a believer or not you are still developing bias as a younger person. Most of us believed in a god even if our families were not religious. In time religion develops its bias because it claims you can have all the answers. This, of course, is not true. Younger children play together and do not ask religious types of questions in a serious way. Bias and cognitive dissonance develops later. My best example from high school is that I do not remember classroom prayer. People I went to school with who are still in church say they do remember school prayer. (Thank the preacher for that.) I do however remember teachers offering on minute of silent prayer for those who wanted to pray. I'm aware that O'Hair put a stop to school prayer to cause this "silent one minute" that was mentioned, but I do not actually remember prayer in schools. People in my classes now claim they do. Can you imagine this - "Oh, god, I know you like me and you will help me to do good on this test but please do not help Bobby coz I want him to fail." WTF else would prayer in schools be about? I ask you honestly.

Screw the people and take the money seems exactly to be what is going on. The question at hand is how do you get rid of and replace Trump, or are you going to be content to let him do this? Personally I would like to see an administration that gave a crap about healthcare, real people, real jobs with benefits, living wages, and our water, air, and food supply. Trump is not going to do this and is working his best to tear it all down. Currently he wants to defund the Post Office because it seems plain that he is against ballots by mail. I suspect the ballots could be said by Trump to be the votes that came from 3 million fat women. At any rate, if this clown loses he is not going to leave and will put Barr into instant investigations that might go on forever if we buy it.

In nature little birds clean the teeth of the hippo and he likes that. For what we are doing to the planet, I'm not sure the planet likes that. Is what we see today simply a reaction, or is the planet fighting back?

We are being fleeced because we have become the product now. To make a better widget today it has to involve that phone you hold in your hand and play with constantly. At my workplace this is all you see until a customer walks in the door. Once they leave it's back to smiles and phone play. I love broadband but my phone stays in my pocket and it never comes to bed with me. A lot of Trump's fight with China is over the billions of dollars plus 5G technology but most of us only get lies about it. There is a war for your mind and one to see who gets this greater technology. Of course, we have to watch it though because people are crossing our Southern border. This time they can cut through the Trump wall or continue to climb over.
The evolution of religion: Why belief systems are literally false and metaphorically true .
DenoPenno comments on Apr 19, 2020:
Is this like when Jesus returns riding that white horse in the sky and he has angels with him and they are ready for that last battle? Certainly this is a metaphor but the Evangelicals take it literally. I tell my religious friend this is impossible and he tells me that isn't what the scripture really meant. OK, what did it mean? The term "the heavens" and a place called heaven are different things. Why would you believe in the place called heaven if it has walls and a large pearly gate? Yes, even in heaven god is protecting you from enemies. Religion has evolved enough in my lifetime and I have witnessed a lot of it. Now will it please just evolve itself away into the myth that it is. Most of the other religions are becoming myth except for the Christians and Muslims. Nobody rose from the dead and nobody flew to heaven on a winged horse.

All religion causes harm. I reject the Christian religion in big part because its holy book came into being as we know it today some 300 plus years after the time of Jesus. People act like they do not know what this means. They think I am wrong or they just do not understand it. Look it up. Google it. Try not to be ignorant. Of course I have many other reasons as well and one is taking things "by faith." Again, many of them come right back to things written inside that magic book.
Thoughts on globalization.
DenoPenno comments on Apr 19, 2020:
Globalization is a desirable thing but it is hard to have it when you are afraid you and going to be murdered or overrun by those crossing our Southern border. This and many other things in the current regime might take years to overcome. Now I quote you: **Our only advancement is Trump saying, give ‘em baseball, football and hamburgers**. OK, let me add Trump defunding the Post office in an effort to prevent mail in ballots at election time.
Let's discuss censorship.
DenoPenno comments on Apr 19, 2020:
I hate censorship and have suspected what you are saying but I have no proof. It's sort of like when you cannot explain or find something. At that point your mind usually makes something up. I have lots of items that I lose, for example, and later I find them right there in plain sight.

What are atheists for?
DenoPenno comments on Apr 19, 2020:
**An explosion of recent research suggests that religious beliefs and behaviors are universal, arise from deep-seated cognitive mechanisms, and were favored by natural selection over human evolutionary history.** I stopped reading at the first sentence above. This is because I do not believe that woo and superstition were favored by natural selection. Instead I believe that they came out of a quest for knowledge and a desire to know what cannot be known. This is wrapped in the security blanket of universal religions. It means to me that all the atheist is doing is challenging those beliefs.

That last line says it all for those who insist that an imaginary person wrote them a book and will judge them by it also. Why are people so dumb? It's hard for me to think I was once a believer just as they are.

Coronavirus stimulus checks: Where is the missing money going?
DenoPenno comments on Apr 18, 2020:
Where is all this money going and why is there missing money? I have the answer. Ask yourself which political party is in power right now. Rest assured that the missing money is not going to those of the opposite party. Also take a long look at Trump using his family to decide who actually gets the money. Does this mean Mar-A-Lago and others like them are getting money? Certainly. Problem solved.

I find it incredible that a lot of these people still think the virus is fake. Looks like we can think Trump for that one. Conservative talk radio today once again mentioned the "Deep State" and it sounded like they were serious about it. Perhaps they missed the Steve Bannon interview where he said he and Donald Trump invented the Deep State for political reasons. There is also lots of crap going around where they claim this virus was "created" just to take Trump down.
