Most dangerous candidate
DenoPenno comments on Apr 9, 2019:
I think that statement is as valid today as it ever was. The danger becomes worse when Trump confuses the word "oranges" with the word "origins." He then tells everyone that his father was born in Germany. Evidence shows that Fred Trump was born in NYC. Both incidents were shown on TV and then Trump apologists say "I think he meant to say his grandfather was born in Germany." This is scary! It doesn't matter what Trump meant to say. He isn't fit for office.
Trump told border patrol agents to defy law, block migrants: CNN [thehill.com]
DenoPenno comments on Apr 9, 2019:
The total stupidity of Trump's border policy can be seen easily. People cheer him for doing away with the "catch and release" agenda and claim he is doing the right thing. People keep crossing our border and idiots ask in wonder "who is sending them?" Do they have to be sent? Maybe they do have bad conditions at home and want asylum. Trump doesn't want that and has created his own border crisis. The cost is now going into a billion bucks and we can thank Trump and Stephen Miller for the continued escalation. The concentration camp at our border with Mexico is a growing situation that will continue unless the USA runs out of money first. Trump's ideas of asking Mexico to help and keep detainees or asylum seekers is not working and has been struck down in our courts. Blaming and firing officials at the front of our operations like DHS is not working and could never work in the first place. People have always crossed our borders. This will only stop when Trump stops or when we run out of funding. Catch and release is pretty easy to understand. Trump is going down a rabbit hole.
And then there's this
DenoPenno comments on Apr 9, 2019:
The missing kids at the border have most likely been sold or "adopted" in some scheme set up by Trump and DeVos. Adoption records can then be sealed.

DenoPenno comments on Apr 8, 2019:
Fox News is the choice of the GOP currently and we have Koch brothers and friends to thank for so many of the trucked up ways of thinking that we have today. The Koch brothers have a daisy chain effect in political donating so as to not be traced, and they have tricked us all into thinking that more money is the same as free speech. The answer here will not be in starting any new networks. The answer is in straightening up our old networks.

DenoPenno comments on Apr 8, 2019:
I agree. What I see that Trump has done so far is to lie constantly. His border wall idea did not seem serious during his first 2 years and he could have pursued it while the GOP had full power. He did not do so and he blamed the Democrats. To this day there are lies about that wall and his supporters do not seem to understand that the wall currently being "built" is a replace/repair effort that has little to do with a wall over the entire border. The current effort covers about 57 miles and politicians on both sides agreed on a 700 mile border wall. For the record this is NOT Trump's border wall. To make it seem that he is doing something Trump has manufactured a "border crisis" and abandoned catch and release policies. The expense of catching and holding people who cross illegally is astounding. Did he actually think we could catch and hold everyone? This is a sham. There is not enough manpower or buildings for that job. Separation of parents and children have also created another nightmare. Some parents may never see their children again and we know someone is getting these children. This entire fiasco is a billion dollar shame! Maybe even more than that. Beyond the above I see a man who's ego has to have support rallies constantly. Trump openly berates dead patriots and war heroes while wanting you to stroke his ego. Is there any president in our past who has done this? I cannot think of any and I say that actions like the above are from an irresponsible man trying to tear down our country. Left alone and not dealt with Trump will further divide our country.

Trump doesn't know anything. He knows nothing of the oranges of the species and his supporters believe we are making all of this up. They do not watch news and even if they did they claim Trump did not say "oranges." The bastard might as well shoot somebody on 5th Avenue. Worshipping God or the sun, what's the difference?

The sun exists and you can see the sun but can only look at it with special glasses. My question is why do we want to worship anything? I even had that question in the back of my mind as a believer.
So this nazi bitch who put babies in cages is now, according to the orange turd, too soft on ...
DenoPenno comments on Apr 8, 2019:
The Turd had to do something. Look at the enormous frustration he must have. He has created a cost in the millions by abandoning catch and release and he seems to have had fun separating children from their families. Some of those kids may never be seen again. Trump supporters think this is all proper and correct. I think it's all just a stunt of this deranged man. Trump must go!
Why do you think people need so much to believe in god and religion?
DenoPenno comments on Apr 7, 2019:
Everyone may not be able to see this but it is so plain to me. My step dad once told me that if I was correct then he had very little to look forward to. His statement refers to his age and the fact that he believes he will see mom and all his dead relatives when he dies, and his death gets closer all the time. Dreams of heaven are to be a great big reunion to him and they can all worship god forever and ever. That's the appeal of religion. You die and get everything back if you are faithful. Well, maybe not your dog but the bible does have spirit animals. This is all a great big hope. I saw an Assemblies of God bus yesterday with writing on it that said "a place of hope." We are afraid to die so we hope. The only proof I find for this nonsense is writings in a book. It gets weaker when you see that there are so many books with these claims but they are all different. Yes they are. Nobody ever came back from the dead and nobody flew to heaven on a winged horse.
The "both are the same" argument is devoid of any thought.
DenoPenno comments on Apr 7, 2019:
Thanks for posting this. The meme tells it squarely and I run onto those daily who bend over backwards to claim they cannot tell the two apart, or they just cannot see it when you point out differences. Trump supporters point out daily that Trump "tells it like it is." This is false and an outright lie. Trump tells it like he wants it to be and never like it is.

I got a call from my phone provider today.
DenoPenno comments on Apr 5, 2019:
Your account is just fine because the ones that are calling you are mining for your information. I get these calls all the time. The number they come from can appear as a number of someone you know, or even your own number. (Yes, I have heard of that one.) In most cases the number that called you will be invalid if you call it back for any reason. The numbers used by the scammers are often not real at all. My experience in this has produced calls that claim my social security has been cut off, or my bank account as well, or that the IRS is wanting to lock me up. The amazing thing is that my phone can in no way be connected with me at all. My name is not connected to any of it and it's like a "throw down" phone.
This is absolutely priceless.

Is anyone else bored to death with the entire atheist theist debate?
DenoPenno comments on Apr 5, 2019:
Nothing is new in that argument because the bible is totally static and that makes it impossible to come up with anything new that would be classified as "evidence." On the science end of the supposed discussion there is nothing to grasp at all. There never was. Apologists continue to post on how you cannot touch their god because he exists in another universe. This is why we cannot prove or disprove him in any way. God travels from his universe to ours without leaving any evidence whatsoever. He is sort of like a fish jumping from one fish bowl to the other, then back again without anyone knowing or seeing. The best the fish argument shows is that some of us have taken the bait.

I see a lot of what you are saying. I still capitalize the C word out of habit. It's hard for me to tolerate most believers, however I had a 3 hour phone conversation with a lady friend in Jersey last night and I love her to death. She is a believer and we can discuss it. If I had more money I would marry her but I find that her evidence for something religious is mostly faith based. People should be able to work around that. I can't refuse to have a relationship of any kind with you simply because you believe in the invisible man. The poisonous belief is when they have to let you go because of their fear of you "burning in hell" and you don't take it seriously.

DenoPenno comments on Apr 1, 2019:
Religions and holy books the world over have no validity of truth to them. Nobody that has died has returned to tell you about it. Oh, your friend had a near death experience and he went to heaven. No, his body was still here the entire time. Now you want to make up and invisible part of him that went somewhere instead. If I leave you alone to believe this nonsense you will just keep on making it up. People from other areas of the world have their own version of it. Why is that? Apparently none of them are right.

DenoPenno comments on Mar 27, 2019:
I studied to be a Pentecostal preacher and suffered for years with the guilt that comes when you fall away from that. Actually, it was bible study that helped me not to believe. A close look at how we got our bible and just when and how this all came together shows without doubt that it's all nonsense. The older I get the more I am convinced of it. Others seem to think getting older should make me change my mind and "go back" to their god. Wrong! How could I ever go back to that? It's my belief that many who do are persuaded by a love interest that causes them to change rather than becoming a believer of the invisible man in the sky.
Any addicts/alcoholics in recovery here.
DenoPenno comments on Mar 27, 2019:
It's whatever works for you. My story is strange. I'm an alcoholic without question but I only drank every second day. I drank to excess deliberately and had both beer and whiskey, and I enjoyed doing it. I enjoyed the taste. About 4 or 5 years ago I developed a gastro problem and my waist got large. The side effect is that I just cannot drink like I did before. I quit drinking for about a year but then went back to it. Like I said, I like the taste. Last night I actually had 4 beers. It may be my last drinks this whole week, or I might have one or so and quit. Before I enjoyed being drunk but not today. In my lifetime I enjoyed being drunk until 3 AM much of the time. Today I only enjoy the taste and I have to be in control. Whatever my weird gastro condition is I might start to drink and then pour it out and eat. The drinking is just not important any longer. A man I've known for years recently heard my story and he denied that I'm an alcoholic. His reasoning is that I don't shake and wake up every morning "having to have it." Having drank heavily for well over 20 years my answer is that he knows nothing about alcoholics.

You are correct that none of the answers make any sense. Heaven and hell are the extreme expressions of right and wrong, reward and punishment. The concept puts mankind into a game of doing right for gain. In the Dake bible courses he claims those in heaven can see those in hell. I'm sure this would not make anyone too happy. Maybe it's a reminder not to rebel as Lucifer once did and was "cast from heaven." Imagine all this work to get there and god still doesn't trust you. At one point this idea was promoted so the "righteous" could gloat. They actually enjoy seeing others that did not make it and are in hell. It's worse than school children playing, but people worldwide in many faiths believe it. I think it is all nonsense. None of the answers make any sense.
Barr’s Declaration on Trump Puts Justice Dept. Back in Political Crucible

The strange thing now is that the GOP has decided to not reveal any of this report and they say it is over because Barr says it is over. Any normal person would realize that this only fuels the fire to know what is inside that report. If nothing damning in there this should be no problem. First, Trump himself was the diversion. Now the Mueller report becomes more of the diversion. Antique Bible left intact by two church fires - UPI.com
DenoPenno comments on Mar 25, 2019:
The religious world is strange. Years ago my parents had an old 2 story house with 2 upstairs bedrooms atop a long winding set of stairs. For reasons I will never understand they had a wooden chair at the top of the stairs and an old bible sitting in that chair. Just enough of a landing there for that chair and a person going into either of the 2 rooms. The bible would fall out of the chair with a great big thud sound. It happened one day when I was home and we were all downstairs. When we went and checked after hearing that noise the bible was found in the floor. They always put it back in the chair. I've heard a lot of tales about how that bible would fall and made up ideas of why it would, but I always asked myself why it was put in the chair in the first place and then why they would put it back after it would fall. Reasons for this are stranger than the event itself. I never got an answer.
How do I tell my religious parents I'm an atheist?

A have an ex wife who said she knew I was going to turn atheist years ago when I did bible study, Dead Sea scrolls, etc. Is bible study forbidden? My daughters still say "they believe in their own way." This is exactly what is wrong with religion today. All religion is much like Burger King. If you can't have it your way just go to another one. "Yes, we believe that stuff the other church told you but when you die there's a 3 day waiting period before you can go to heaven."
It seems atheists DOMINATE this site, despite the fact it's an agnostic one.
DenoPenno comments on Mar 25, 2019:

Ideas of Hillary having our military to "stand down" is simply an outright lie. It's also the lie that is used yet today to blame Hillary for what happened in Benghazi.

I want to die without pain. My biggest fear beyond that is having unfinished business, but that happens to almost all who die. Dying thoughts like "damn, I was going to watch that episode of Mash this evening too."
What species is a human mother's fetus?
DenoPenno comments on Mar 25, 2019:
I did not vote. Until it is born it is simply a human fetus. This is not an issue in the bible because birth is what makes the child a human.
I greet you all here ?
DenoPenno comments on Mar 25, 2019:
Welcome but be advised this is no place for a believer. You will not convert anyone and they will laugh at your scripture references as "proof" of anything.

DenoPenno comments on Mar 25, 2019:
Robert Mueller found no collusion with Russia on the elections but did find that Russia hacked the DNC. His report also did not exonerate Trump of any obstruction of justice. Mueller only reported facts and was leaving it up to other offices as to what would be done if anything. Keep in mind that Mueller is a Republican and this this report has nothing to do with self destruction of the Democratic Party. It will look terribly bad now if the report is not released in full, or it is redacted and then released. This would appear as if there is something to hide. The problem with current politics is that the public is led to believe every issue is bipartisan when it simply is not. I blame our current POTUS for all the lies and surrounding himself with crooks more than I blame a political party.
So my dad just passed away, I buried him this last Saturday.
DenoPenno comments on Mar 25, 2019:
i am sorry for your loss. Regardless of how you felt about your father it is a loss to not have him around any longer. I loved my mother, for example, but on her passing I knew full well that many issues I had with her and my step father would now never be resolved. All I can do is cling to the better memories. It's deep and personal and mom was not a bad person really. You say you hope there is nothing after we die. I don't share that hope but admit that we simply cannot know. If death is not the end exactly whatever happens later will NOT be like anything written down in any scripture or holy book. Most likely death will be very much like things were before you were born.
Usernames.... How did you choose your username for agnostic and what's the story behind it.... ?
DenoPenno comments on Mar 25, 2019:
Well, your dad was right! My current user name here has evolved out of African shing which is just a Kenyan "hip" way of using your real name and shortening it down some at the same time. It makes sense to them and I use the same name on FB. It hides you somewhat if you are into political activism but my user name makes Trump supporters think that maybe I'm not a citizen and not qualified to vote. Many of them have told me this. On another atheist site I am Michael Penn. This is a middle name and again a shortened last name. I am not trying to be Sean Penn's brother. Honest! :)
Trump Is Going To Repeat This Until November 2020.
DenoPenno comments on Mar 25, 2019:
I see a strange mix of things today about our political parties and it disturbs me greatly. I see a DNC that is confused and not sure which way it wants to go. Democratic Socialism is being embraced but yet ignored by many. Apology being made when there should be none, and the right will use this in comparing the old "socialism next to communism" ideas. Nobody is speaking up so this will most likely work for them. The DNC cannot even address it's division. They have no backbone. I see a strongly compromised GOP that has been infiltrated and taken over by the Koch brothers, Mercers, and others of that persuasion and it all has to do with money. Nobody in the current party gives a damn about you, your healthcare, land, water, or food. We are led to believe this is the way our Founding Fathers would have wanted it and the deluded go along with that idea. The GOP works against the people and to give wealth to the top 1 percent at any cost. The goal appears to be to make you think it should be this way and to make you like it. (I'm one who don't.) Libertarians and Independents can be a mix of the above or anything else they want to be. They might push for dog catchers to have a degree or for a man on Mars by 2025 but chances or being elected are slim to say the least. This is my take on how things are right now along with a reflection on our bleak future.
How “Case for Christ” author Lee Strobel fabricated his best-selling story – Alternet.org
DenoPenno comments on Mar 23, 2019:
I took it that Strobel had to do something because his wife and kid became believers. To save his marriage he came up with the book idea and this came across so well that it made into a movie. Do I believe that Strobel now believes in an invisible man in the sky? Hell no, but this is just my take on it all.
What do you call this thing?
DenoPenno comments on Mar 23, 2019:
It's a shopping cart in my part of Missouri.

Is it time Yet?
DenoPenno comments on Mar 23, 2019:
The big irony right now is that so many on social media are discussing how the NZ shooting is all fake and did not happen. I think they all went to Trump University and believe Alex Jones.

DenoPenno comments on Mar 23, 2019:
Many people do not understand that Trump does not own all these buildings. His "brand" is to sell his name. Trump does not own all Trump Hotels, etc., etc.
Why are people so hostile towards President Donald Trump?
DenoPenno comments on Mar 23, 2019:
Trump is the worst beyond all questions.
I can't believe my luck finding a group of folks who like old movies as I do, love the History ...
DenoPenno comments on Mar 23, 2019:
I like old movies. People ask if I have seen this one or than one. I tell them I've seen the film but maybe not the version you are talking about. Today nothing is new. They just re-make old movies.
The blame game . . . .
DenoPenno comments on Mar 23, 2019:
Most recently it's a dead American blasted against at a tank factory in Ohio, but it's all the dead man's daughter's fault. Trumpsters think McCain's daughter is to blame for the Trump attack. Too many people today have graduated from Trump University.
Tattoo's, what do you think of them and do you have a preference of body art or statements?
DenoPenno comments on Mar 23, 2019:
Do you have too much money or just think you need something for yourself rather than pay the apartment rent? If so, get a tattoo.

Arrest and jail white supremacists or anybody else who makes death threats. Recently a white couple both got prison time for threatening black people with a Confederate flag. People who think Trump somehow validates their racist delusions just have to learn the hard way.
Good food . . .
DenoPenno comments on Mar 23, 2019:
I love this one. As for the praying kid, he oughta know that followers of Jesus cannot be harmed by poison and that includes bad food. Apparently people were always trying to poison early Christians. IDK?

U.S.’s Biggest Christian Charity Reportedly Channeled $56.1 Million to Purported Hate Groups

Religious groups are hateful groups. They always have been. The Klan will tell you they are big on the bible. Christians do not like Muslims, etc.

I like a President with human decency
DenoPenno comments on Mar 23, 2019:
Donald Trump doesn't have a shred of human decency. Not even one.
It's still on point!

Hate speech laws are of the same garbage, as blasphemy laws, I think.
DenoPenno comments on Mar 22, 2019:
I agree with you that such laws are insane. Be what you want to be is true of course. The problem here is that people in political power will use these laws to still say and do what they want to do. I'm not sure of in the UK, but it's all on the wrong foot here in America. Recently in FB I was censored for putting a man in place squarely and verbally for coming onto my page to make derogatory comments because I told the truth about his buddy Trump. FB removed my comments. The poor bugger had to report me for this to happen and FB failed to notice that it all happened on my page. If this had of been the other way around I would have agreed with them.
14 again!!!!
DenoPenno comments on Mar 22, 2019:
I wanna be 14 again and do all the things I never did at 14 that kids today are doing all the time. Life just isn't fair.
The next Civil War?
DenoPenno comments on Mar 22, 2019:
Very true and I agree with every word. They problem is that the racist white shitheads are now wanting a second chance at it.
