Has anyone tried out a Unitarian Church?
DenoPenno comments on Nov 12, 2019:
I'm probably not curious enough. A church is still a church. I one had a person ask me what an atheist worships. Why would we have to worship anything?
Last semester, I had to watch "Jesus Camp" in my sociology class.
DenoPenno comments on Nov 12, 2019:
I would not care to watch it. The very idea of putting it on young children that they have "sins" and Jesus can help them is horrible! How could any adult think this was right? It is all made up and not even in their buybull.

Just out today. Deep State---Establishment Related?
DenoPenno comments on Nov 11, 2019:
What deep state? Steve Bannon claims in an interview that he and Trump made up the "deep state." Some have said that if it existed Trump would already be dead. Trump uses it to explain things about Hillary and others who just do not like him enough to say good things.
Can anyone with theology knowledge (or knows someone with) explain this?
DenoPenno comments on Nov 11, 2019:
The simple truth here is that the Romans did not make everybody go back to their birthplace to be counted. It never happened. This is something added to the gospels to explain how Jesus fits in with the prophesies. It is all manipulated. Imagine Mary and Joseph in Egypt but they had to come back because of this. Balderdash! Tommyrot!

DenoPenno comments on Nov 11, 2019:
As a teenager I used to think along these lines and come up with ideas like an earthworm or maybe ants being god. YHVH is god and some hold to a simple form in English of "good" being where the word "god" comes from. Strange sermons in my lifetime had your wife, your car, or your money being your god.

Why is it so hard to find a lover that shares the same beliefs?
DenoPenno comments on Nov 11, 2019:
One reason I find that common sense is not common is that both sexes think differently. To simplify that statement let me point out that in early life both play with dolls. The male doll is usually called and Army man while the female doll might be a Barbie. Variations of this continue on with time. Then we all have to realize that it is harder to get out of the house and mingle with others as we get older. This is the real key to finding a possible partner.

I totally agree. For a lot of this to even be possible we have to thank those like and similar to the late Cambridge Analytics. These lies and misinformation are still out there somewhere. Imagine again that someone suddenly appears to be you just now and out of the blue and you have to hire someone else to stop them from using your credit and info and you have lived in one place your entire life. Stuff like this is going on and it really sucks!
Howdy folks! Found this link in my FB newsfeed and thought I'd check it out.
DenoPenno comments on Nov 9, 2019:
Welcome, and I hope you enjoy it here.
Hi folks, I recently turned 47 and been having feelings about that.
DenoPenno comments on Nov 9, 2019:
Dating when you get older is harder because you are more careful of almost anything. As a young man I could easily say there are plenty of fish in the sea but I was careless in doing so and did not even know I was careless. As an older man I have a set amount of bills and property, etc. with just enough money (barely) to make this work for me. I'm not likely to take a drastic measure of any kind just to meet someone. As a younger man I would have done that and not have cared. Today a picnic sounds nice but it is harder to even find someone who wants to go on a picnic. I can't even find people at the local Senior center because they all say the pledge, pray over meals, and are hung up on "fake news." Spare me, please!

DenoPenno comments on Nov 9, 2019:
Intelligent design. Sometimes you cannot even find that in a house or a car. As for god the creator, we all know that he liked animals and liked them so much that he wanted to see some of them eat others for food. It was just sport to him. Of course, he also liked to smell the savor of their burned bodies once man came onto the scene. If you think the above is funny just imagine how idiotic I would sound if I argued logically for some sort of intelligent design. It would be like begging to be believed, and for what? Why do people do this?

What are your moral "feelings" :::::Infidelity?
DenoPenno comments on Nov 9, 2019:
My "moral feelings" in any relationship would have to be along the lines of what I thought each of us as a couple would want. Morality is not a dictated situation from a set source of info. Morality is different in certain parts of the world so it is a construct of society and not some imaginary god.

DenoPenno comments on Nov 6, 2019:
No plans here but I could have dinner at one of my daughter's. Between the 2 of them they will decide on dinner and I might have to travel 30 miles or as little as 3 miles. If one of them has to work Christmas the dinner could be cancelled.
The universe may be conscious, say prominent scientists - Big Think
DenoPenno comments on Nov 6, 2019:
Yes, we are all god and nobody wants to die. People who lay on tables and beds going nowhere continue to make up stories about where they went when body and mind functions start to wane. If they come back again and are normal stupid people who want to believe in myth embrace them and the experience. Lazerus never said a single word about being dead and neither did Jesus. I wonder why that is? As for Jesus being reurrected or saying anything, we have the ramblings of Saul of Tarsus and some books written about 70 AD that appear to try and convince the Jews that they killed their Messiah. They could better be controlled that way, and I think Saul was in on this with them.

DenoPenno comments on Nov 5, 2019:
I don't see many battle lines of atheist vs. religionist but those thoughts do go back and forth and sometimes up and down. This would be the nitty gritty of agnosticism and atheist belief. What I see more of is an extreme dislike and even hatred between liberal and conservative. As a liberal I sometimes think that conservatives believe none of us deserve anything at all while most liberals want everything to be easier and better for us all. In human relationships I see too much drama while in politics I see way too much anger and ignorance.
I could use some feedback.

DenoPenno comments on Nov 5, 2019:
Try my reasoning. I bought a new Chevy yesterday and brought it home from the dealer. After I finish with a lot of fine tuning it might be a good car. The above is imaginary but it shows that fine tuning arguments for our earth and the universe have to be made by those who embrace evolution in some form. Since we know this is not true, "fine tuning" does not hold up.

Gun Violence is a Global Problem... Everywhere someone is Gunned Down... [msn.com]
DenoPenno comments on Nov 4, 2019:
Gun control will not prevent gun violence. Video games with shooting was encouraged to create volunteers for the military. Not sure how that worked out for the government but the gaming industry grew. Parents with no values or discipline step in to do and allow anything for their millennial. Fads like "the knockout game" come along and shooting copycats just know they can kill more than those at Columbine. We need a little re-education. If any government wants real gun control the thing they would do is make ammo available only for a select few. A cartridge can only be re-loaded a certain number of times.

I'm sure there is a major shift coming up and those in power on both sides do not want to deal with it. Obama and Hillary are not brought up because neither of them are in power right now. Bringing them up is distraction and disinformation. Apples and oranges that Trump hopes you will be concerned with rather than actually being concerned with Trump and what he is doing. What is going on now can only be laid squarely at the feet of Donald Trump and the Koch Industries regime. They are in agreement with Russia in the ability to extract world wealth and minerals without any EPA restrictions. This also means that nobody gives a damn about you and your healthcare, your food, water, or wages. They want us all to shut up and learn to live with it. I believe in fighting back.

Did they find Adam's tomb? Surely he had one. he was so smart that he named all the animals and creatures. Latin is a basic language for many others but Adam did this long before Latin came along. I suppose he named nats and skeeters too. I'm waiting to know the name of the first disease germ. Maybe we can finally find out where Cain got his wife. You know religion is all trucked up when it teaches the mark of protection on Cain was that god turned him into a black man. Just sayin.'

Wake up to the fact that those in power have no concern for EPA standards of any kind and also do not give a damn about you, your wages, healthcare, food, water, etc. Voting 3rd party is not an option. DenoPenno comments on Oct 29, 2019:
She is using an old trick to try and get you back to god and religion again. She thinks if things happen for a reason and you get your wishes you are blessed by the invisible man. When things fall in line for you it proves it and you just have to go with god, but that's not how it works at all. I'm "blessed" and the "god" helping me is myself. This is so because I keep what I am looking for in my mind somewhere and soon I find it. This is so if it is new or in a resale shop. It happened to me today and I found what I was looking for because I gave it all my attention. I found it in 2 days. Also, things DO happen for a reason. The reason might be just like I have said above. If you stumble you might fall so you have to be careful how and where you walk. No invisible being is guiding you in any of this. It is just you yourself. You create your purpose in life and you create your reason.
