I believe that all life on this planet (& all life we haven't met yet) is part of the universe becoming self-aware. Therefore, we are God, as we are part of the Universe. No need to worship false idols; but we do need to love & take care of each other. As Ellen says: Be kind to one another. So far, we've done a horrible job in the God dept. We still & torture each other & as a species, we've not grown too far. Maybe we do need a kick in our collective ass. I'm a Trekkie, so a visit from the Vulcans wouldn't be too out of line ( ST: First Contact). Roddenberry was a humanist & his view of the future is attainable. PS - The head of my church is Mom Nature. I experience her glory every day.
