I like to be involved with people and activities, but shy from commercially developed "fun" - creating my own enjoyment with little direction from advertised activities. Finding relevant activities with another person is important. I enjoy adventure, exploring the natural world in ways that enrich understanding of individual lives in a larger context, as well as personally. I'm interested in cross-cultural experiences and the understanding they may lead too (past focus in Australia, Brazil, Peru, Korea, Mexico, Turkey). I enjoy conversing in Spanish. I read a lot and I try to be out-of-doors a lot, and I write. I listen well, try to communicate clearly and grow in my feelings towards others, and I value sharing with honesty and sensitivity
