I never know what to put in these things, but I'll try. I've lived in many different states, but I am presently living in my hometown in middle-of-nowhere California. I live in a pretty consevative town, and it isn't easy to meet people around here who share my leftist/secularist values. I'm newly single and am sort of just keeping my eyes open and seeing who is out there.

My passions:
Music. I play guitar and sing. I have a large record collection and listen to a wide variety of music from metal to classical.
Reading: science, history, religious scholarship, philosophy, SF, fantasy, and so on.
Movies and TV: mostly epic fantasy, science fiction, and indie films.

I like long walks in the desert and spending time with my dog.
