There was a Carol Barnett rerun about the faith healers- it was funny. Almost the same as this picture! Then there was a faith healer that was actually doing his act. "If you just say the name, 'Jeezuz' you will be so healthy you will be able to run the Boston Marathon, running backwards, and win it." "You will be so rich that when you put all your gold bricks in your Rolls Royce, the weight will flatten the tires." It wasn't quite like that--- but it was a great laugh too.

I have a relative that died of hypochondria, at the ripe old age of 86. No one dies of "hypochondria"; wrong, not if you do it correctly! She loved going to the doctor; that was her favourite pastime. What finally killed her was gluttony and a total lack of exercise.

I took a full time community college certificate, when I was an adult. It was like kindergarten with the student-children all on cocaine. The engineer teaching the class asked for quiet once, then a few minutes later just closed his books and walked off. It just shows that some kids without money can't get into higher education, but with a chance, would work diligently. But the others, "Daddy owns the company, so I will be an executive anyhow."

Diogenes comments on Jun 3, 2021:
In a world where reality stands, whether we like it or not, there needs to be a fact check. The big fish eat the little fish- 'so if we kill all the big fish', is not the answer. If there are starving people, eating eggs disturbs no thinking persons ethics or morals. An unattended hen will sit on an unfertilized egg till it rots. I have heard of people who have collected eggs, and then let the hens live a natural, long life. Even though I don't eat meat- I will never lose site of reality and join some weird cult. Ursi, I agree with you. There are some fantastic meals made with just veggies and spices. I do a good job in the kitchen occasionally- but I also have an inverse talent - I can burn water😁.

A valid quote from Roberts; that puts religion into perspective. One must give inventive credit to the Hebrews and the Christians when they invented the invisible god-dude that only the 'righteous' can visualize. The other gods, made of such material as stone and wood could be dismantled. I have wondered if Hans Christian Anderson ever had a dislike for his middle name. In his writing in the 1850s of the Emperor's New Cloths he trashed religious belief. Only the so-called 'enlightened' could see the cloth that wasn't there. It took a kid to say, "Hey, the dude is sitting there bare assed." ( yes, I am crude) When the Pope talks to god-dude, he is putting on a clown show- for all the world to see.
