I took a break from this website because -- well, you know -- Covid. Isn't it insane how it's divided people? I took care of some important business during that time, like getting a total knee replacement. I'm doing a lot better now. Also, fully vaxxed & boosted x2.
I grew up in the wine country of Northern California. Back then it was apple orchards and chicken ranches. I ended up on a kibbutz in Israel, because I was a socialist, and then returned to California, got married, and raised two children. I have been happily divorced since the mid 1990s. Both parents are deceased. I moved to Israel again in 2008 when my job was being outsourced, but I came back in 2015, settling in Durham, NC, to be near two very close friends who moved here many years ago, and I wanted to be on the East Coast in order to be closer to my grandchildren.

In response to the profile questions: One of them was about weed, without allowing for any detail. I have not indulged in a while because I don't want to do it alone, but I picked up some Edibles recently on a trip up north. Would be nice to share them with someone who enjoys a good laugh.

I am enjoying getting to know North Carolina. I am involved in an Ethical Culture group in Chapel Hill. Despite living in the South, and in spite of it being in the Bible Belt, it's nothing like living in a country that has only one secular holiday and no constitution.

I was raised Secular Jewish, in a liberal, progressive family. I joined this website to make new online friends, but I am also open to meeting a possible new romantic interest, of any background, ethnicity or race, so long as we are of compatible ages and he shares my aversion to religious dogma and beliefs.
