Late 40-something year old speech pathologist with 5, yes FIVE, amazing teenage (or almost) kids.

After 20 years married, I am re-learning about myself, what and how I would like to do, be, and live.

I think the ideal life should be the culmination of experiences which lead a person to being the best version of themselves (not the best asshole; rather, the best, ideal, person). Truly, I think this was the positive motivator for religion. Of course, we know how it all went down. Moral of the story: watch out what you wish for, you just might get it ;P ...
