What to say? I have been essentially atheist for as long as I can remember, but only realised I was a humanist when I first read a description of that term in a Dawkins book! I've recently decided that I need to be more active in that respect: an activist? I'm not entirely comfortable with that term but I suppose the meaning is accurate...
I THINK I've got a pretty good sense of humour but, that's for others to judge,ha!
Music and reading are two things I am passionate about. I use the word "passionate" in its full sense: some things are worth being passionate about.
And being physically active is the other Big One: I love phys. It is essential to me for several reasons. I believe it to be essential to all humans for several reasons and I will determinedly detail these to anyone foolish enough to ask,ha! Partly because,to me,the fact we have evolved to be good at it tells us something - yet so many people seem oblivious to it.
Unless you're a glutton for punishment do not get me started on nutritionists, diet trends, misuse of science in the health and fitness industry, the word "wellness",...oh,I could go on.
I have children but they live with my ex wife. My hope for them is to raise them as happy freethinkers. That makes taking care of the rest quite a bit easier,I think!
Physically,I'm tall (6',lean I suppose might be the term! I'm very clean-living and value that in others. I also assure and expect discretion. I like my privacy and I respect other people's.
I like to chat,I like to meet new people. Come and say hello? We might get on well!
