Scientist announces a laser so powerful it can tear empty space
ChestRockfield comments on Jan 27, 2018:
Get used to it being other countries that do cool shit. The US is too busy debating whether or not we should have Jesus in schools instead of pushing science and math.
EmeraldJewel replies on Jan 28, 2018:
IKR! I feel so ashamed to be American. Been considering to leave the country.
To those who were raised in a religious household, what made you abandon your family's beliefs?
IndySent comments on Jan 27, 2018:
Intense bible study made me realize how ridiculous religion was. Actually reading the scriptures, then questioning the elders about what I read, and getting either unsatisfactory answers, or being shamed for questioning God’s Word really made me think critically. I was eventually kicked out of ...
EmeraldJewel replies on Jan 28, 2018:
Yep! Typical church people when the questions get too hard. No one can never tell me where Cain’s wife came from.
If you could go back in time and undo something in your past, would you?
david7wk comments on Jan 27, 2018:
I turned down a very good job offer because I was convinced it was not God's will for me. If I had accepted it my life would have taken a much better course and I would have made much more money. Sucks that I was a Christian then.
EmeraldJewel replies on Jan 27, 2018:
That does suck. Damn religion poisoning everything.

Too many things in the bible did not make sense to me. I always babysat my younger brothers and sister and cousins and family friends children. Was sex more fun when you still believed in original sin?
EmeraldJewel comments on Jan 26, 2018:
Well...it feels good to know the divine spy camera in the sky isn’t watching me when I’m having sex and being a complete creep and pervert about it, so I’d have to say it is that more enjoyable without the original sin thing.
EmeraldJewel replies on Jan 26, 2018:
@EricTrommater I literally almost died of laughter at your comment.

I used to when I was in jr. high, but I guess at that time, it is common for girls that age lol.

Yikes, what a question. I have made this choice. I didn't want to be a single mom. Still wouldn't want to be one...would have been nice to have kids with a partner interested in sticking around, but that wasn't the situation at hand. Plus, in America... you don't always have health care. Being a ...

10 - I feel like religion wants to take the credit away from science. Religion wants to talk science When it's convenient for religion. There's no place In science when it comes to belief.
EmeraldJewel replies on Jan 26, 2018:
The ironic thing is the religious used to kill scientist on the past, now want to take credit for science.

EmeraldJewel replies on Jan 26, 2018:
Lol another YouTuber Christian troll came for me, asking for proof that god set up Adam and Eve to fail so I had to explain to them. I guess all that religion ate whatever was left of their brain cells.

Actually, that doesn't bother me - it's so nonsensical it's like when a small child tries to claim it was the cat that drew a picture in felt-tip pen on the new wallpaper. Bless their little cotton socks for trying.
EmeraldJewel replies on Jan 26, 2018:
Lol since you put it like that, now that is funny. I actually had a 50 something year old woman tell me that the reason scientist discovered earth a lot older than six thousand is cause god had to put the earth on pause while he was handling the devil at the time of him kicking him out of Heaven. I kid you not.
I thought this was just beyond funny.
