How do you date on a forum?

The definition of the word "date" has changed over the last decade or so. I have a co-worker "dating" a girl in Australia he met once for 20 minutes in an airport. They Skype and talk all day as if they were in the same room. More importantly, they are happy.

What are these tags?

I'm the worst person to ask. I thought 3-D was going to be the next big thing. With that caveat, I think that hovering cars are less than a decade away. They may not be common by then, but you will see more and more public transportation moving that direction.

I guess I've been pretty lucky. I have 4 exes on my Facebook, two of whom I communicate with via text on an almost daily basis. That doesn't even count my ex wife, with whom I have two children and have a very civil relationship. There is something nice about keeping people in your life with whom you have life experience. These are people who know me and aren't afraid to call me out when I'm full of it. They are as valuable part of my circle as any friends with whom I never had a romantic relationship. The things that drew me to them didn't disperse the moment we no longer shared a bed.

To those who were raised in a religious household, what made you abandon your family's beliefs?

Puberty hit. My hormones told me one thing and the Church another. Both were wildly inconsistent so I'm not sure why I went with my hormones but once I made that decision I never turned back.

Mine would have to be kindergarten and the breakdown of my ideal of meritocracy. I saw that teachers favored one kid over another, time and again. I realized that life was a fixed game. I realized that I would never be able to play the father when we played house. I Realized that I would never get to play with the new blocks. Such a sad day.
