Scientist by day, writer by night. I enjoy piecing together the puzzles of the world and finding beauty in the little things. You can find me in a lab performing controlled behavioral experiments on Tettigoniids, recording neuronal responses to sensory stimuli or extracting RNA samples for transcriptomic assembly as I seek to understand the code of life and our perceptional awareness of reality. Or, you can find me with my nose deep in a book or my fingers tapping away at a keyboard as I enjoy the workings of imaginative thought and the escape from reality. Then, on occasion, I may be caught with a camera in the great outdoors, capturing those fleeting moments of wonder and magnificence in picture form.
