I'll start this by mentioning that I have a mild case of Cerebral Palsy. I do not have any issues with speech, but do walk with a limp (and a cane). (Anyone that has an issue with possibly dating a disabled person should read no further.) After an injury my left knee in December of 2012, I use a wheelchair get around cause it's faster than walking at this point in my life. (I'm also a bit self-conscious about the slowness of my walk, when using my cane.)
