DJ_Blaser comments on Feb 8, 2018:
I found out three years after the fact that an exgirlfriend I dated while in the military had died of breast cancer before she was even 30. It hurt because we had parted under unresolved feelings for each other. I have since found a great love, yet I can not help but feel I failed her some how.
Freedompath replies on Feb 8, 2018:
I would think that you had many mixed feelings about your ex. Even i, felt a stab of hurt for such a woman so young to have died of breast cancer. And, that you only found out much later, another hurt factor. Life just happens, in spite of us! Our hurt, at least indicates we care deeply.

BitFlipper comments on Feb 8, 2018:
Sometimes I find myself feeling that a woman friend is special. I notice myself looking forward to seeing her with excitement. I'll find myself thinking about her when she's not around. Women apparently find this disturbing. It never happens in reverse.
Freedompath replies on Feb 8, 2018:
BitFlipper...I am surprised to see that you (or any man) believes that having special feelings about someone doesn't agree with a woman. I can't quiet get my mind around your assertion! I have special feelings about lots of people and men of all sorts! Some are married and out of reach to me. Some are just ordinary men. But, they are special in my eyes! Now, I may not always express that much emotion to them...it will be more like subtle regard. Maybe I do this, because not everyone can 'read' motives between men and women and I don't wish my admiration to be misinterpreted! Who wouldn"t be delighted to know that they are thought of with tenderness? I enjoy it.

@diabhal ..."last reply i'm going to make'...it makes no difference to me one way or the other, how many replys you make! 'If you (that would be me) can't see that what you have been doing is racial sterotyping then there's not much point in discussing it futher.' You are telling me that you have become an authority ON ME and if I can't see the error of my ways, you're done! AND SIR... what is the difference between. 'I repeat that i never accused you of being a racist but i do think you are spouting racial hatred,' you are saying one thing about me in the first part of the sentance and the very same thing in the last half!? Yes, I do speak of the Mexicans and I say 'Mexicans.' I have a Mexican neighbor not 50 ft from my front door and when all her very professional realitives come to visit, we speak of Mexicans if need be! In New Mexico, we speak of Mexicans (of which there are many) and we say Mexicans! And until I ran across you no one, has ever accused me of sterotyping or being racist! You spent a big portion of your text on trying to support your assertion that I am being racist and sterotyping! I WASN'T THERE! I have no idea where you are coming from, but I WILL NOT accept your emotional baggage put onto me! I understand clearly there are racial disparities and degradation for the "blacks" in S Africa, the same as what we have right here in the south. But, we weren't discussing that...we were discussing the drought in S AFRICA, and the "black people' in S A (on the whole) do not have the skills to run plantations...(Sociology 101)...even that is another discussion! I don't recalI if i have ever run into a person that is so determined to prove that I am sterotyping and being racist on paper or even in person!!! WHY?

@Irishathiest I would not want to mislead you...but I know for fact, plantations were reallocated...another friend from England had a brother that lived in S Africa into his 80s, his land and his possessions were taken from him and he had to escape back to England, with nothing! My friend from S Africa told me same thing and I also read about it way in the past...just can't recall source! S Africa.has since had food shortage because the blacks did not have the skills to run these large plantations, which employed lots of people!

@Irishathiest this has been going on for several years! I am not sure what part you are disagreeting on...the plantations were taken back from the white people, do you agree? The fields went fallow which caused another problem with food shortage. The growing of crops helped with rain...it is all dead now! Where do you see error?

The main reason for the water disaster in South Africa, is the plantations were taken over by the 'blacks,' but the blacks lacked the skills to run them, so they were allowed to disintegrate...that cut down on rainfall, thus causing a major drought over the last several years..and the government is impotent (mostly appointed family members) ...which may prevent his getting assistance!
