Her story needs to be heard, I myself have heard friends and strangers tell me of their violations, that they were only then being told for the first time. Yes Reade should tell her story, but the way it is being used at this time is not working for me! And she has already reported what a terrible time that she had last time she spoke about the situation. I have years of experience with women and men and this is not a situation that I can believe in.

@RoboGraham fair enough...when you mentioned your gun, just after I just read that more background checks have been done for guns in the past 2 months than ever!!!! It struck me at my core. I have personal knowledge and painful memories of lives lost over being shot! Then a friend just last week told me of her narcissist brother that died in a plane crash who owned 100s of guns! When I exclaimed ‘a 100 guns,’ she said no, ‘several hundred guns, hidden in his grandma attic! She saw them herself and her grandma was unhappy about it, too! I have never had a need to protect myself from my fellowman (and believe me my fellowman has not all been upright), the very thought of blowing a hole in even my most hated enemy with a gun makes me ill. The thought of my fellowman being blow apart brings me the same illness. There will never be enough overpopulation of wild animals to justify the love fest with guns!

@MizJ ...50 yrs ago, the government knew that we have the biggest portion of the people working at minimum wage, who will never be able to afford the cost of healthcare. I was one of them. For 25 yrs I had no health care! They even shut down the non-profit health clinics! There is no long range planning, and forget using actual population reality to plan the next 5 years! We are reduced to begging...for permission to be here and live a life!

@Marionville first, I believe that we must be able to feel the bottom of our grief. And, in my experience that is the hardest thing a human does. Because, it feels like for sure, it will suck our life’s breath right out of us. But, once the bottom is felt...then we know what we are dealing with and can carry on and not be kept in a forever lost place. We befriend the hurt and it gives us the ‘whole picture’ to carry us forward. Thus...the ‘life’ of your son and not just the loss. I am still sad for your loss...

I know that we are expected to keep learning and forcing our brain with actions to build new cells, but certain ‘learning,’ may be a carry over from our youth...our brain is different now...it mostly works with the big picture! I have detailed plans too, that I never get too! (Thus my amusement.). It is a hard ‘pill’ to swallow, but our brain will never go back to our early ‘detailed’ oriented youth! It is difficult again to accept that we cannot do the things that our brain so easily picked up in early life! Take all the new IT...I am limited (I feel lucky even with what I have learned) because I do not understand IT technology. It is not ‘pathetic’ that you can’t learn some new skill...but you/me we can give of ourselves to helped nurture our offsprings...they will have a ‘warm’ memory of us that will soften a bad day...after we are long gone! Just, go listen to a lot of good guitar music! It really does ‘warm up’ the old brain!!’

Reade only called her assault rape in this recent go-around. In years past, she said it was ‘funny’ touching! Her timing, NOW ...when this Country is under such duress... is what is giving me reservations. Who would pick this time to come clean on her rape, she must be experiencing most of what the rest of us are experiencing? Rape leaves a scar, even after we heal! If I were to rehash my rape now, in the media... I think it might push me past the brink of no return! This person has lived in the ‘real world’ up to now! I learned the right way to be a loving parent and thus adapted myself! Everyone deserves to change and learn to be better. That is what I see in Biden. @Charlene I have made it my life’s work to watch for what is being said and what is being hiddened! I would be more empathetic toward her story, if she had not suddenly decided to bring down the ‘hoped for’ next president! That kind of selfishness is palatable! If she has been so aggrieved she had other options! Since her story is all over the news for the last 2 days and I tried to read most all of the them...I am done!

@Charlene her mother was very calm when she said ‘sexual harassment.’ That tells me, that there possibly might have been ‘off colored jokes, sneering, or outright advances’ all of which is harassment when you are the brunt of that behavior! But, it is not classified as rape! Inappropriate touching is a ‘violation assault’ but that is not rape either. She seems to have been ‘aggrieved somehow’ but now after 27 yrs to decide to finish this story the way she has...it is a little late for me! And I am most familiar with sexual survival stories from every age group and gender!

But, I discovered that money never motivated me...all I wanted was to ‘upkeep’ myself without a burden to others and ofcourse I felt shame over having so little money compared to others! But, the truth is I gave so much of myself to others, I had little energy left for pursuits that garnered wealth. But, l loved knowledge and that is worth more than wealth!
